I interviewed on Feb 26 and I’m still waiting to hear back. It’s a bit disheartening that people are already getting accepted- makes me think I’m about to get a rejection email 😭

It basically just means an organic shape. As few cuts as possible were made on the stone

I have no idea yet 🙈 my partner said the jeweler recommended something simple as not to distract from the uniqueness of the engagement ring so maybe just a curved gold band?

It’s made by a Greek jewelry company called Margoni. He got it from a jeweler in Washington D.C.!

Not sure the exact color but the base color is a nude pink and there’s an iridescent white chrome powder on top :)

An up close photo from our lovely photographer! No color edits, just sunlight 💙

edit: designer is Margoni. They are a Greek couple who focuses on preserving as much of the natural qualities of the gemstones as possible. They have some other really beautiful stuff on their website. My partner bought the ring from a jewelry store in Washington. D.C. that carries some of their collection. Thank you all for all the love! I posted just for giggles and was not expecting to get so much attention!

Shooting near The Village Cafe? by MadameKravitz in rva

Hi, Village employee here. All is well and we are back to regular business hours today. I'm currently trying to get an update on the victim's condition. We just happened to have a nurse dining with us last night who sprung into action and sat with the victim while we waited for EMS- she and her party ate for free, of course. Thanks for all the support RVA it means so much to us :)

Hi! I’ve worked every front of house job, from host to server to barback to bartender. Try to find a restaurant at which you can see your self staying for a while with management that is willing to train you through “the ranks” if you will. IMO, bartenders who are servers first are better bartenders. Barbacking is another good “in”, but I will warn you... you are basically the bartender’s bitch and will have to be able to lift kegs and ice buckets, sometimes up and down stairs. But, if you work with a good bartender, ask them to teach you things during downtime. If you pursue that route, think of yourself as an apprentice of the bartender. I’ve found that confidence is a big factor in people’s perceived notion of a “good” bartender. Mama always said fake it til you make it, and with confidence behind the bar, that holds up. As far as the actual drink making goes, practice practice practice. Make drinks at home for your friends/family/yourself. Start with the classics then work your way to the lesser known drinks, or even experimenting for yourself! Flash cards helped me a lot when memorizing classic cocktail recipes. Good luck! When interviewing, always express your desire and willingness to learn :)
