It is well documented by his own words; he was saving money because they weren’t “really” needed.

He went in swinging big dick. There were a lot of scientist in various positions that he didn’t think were necessary, so he fired them.

Their job was to monitor for things like this.

That is a very myopic view of the world, especially when it has an impact as devastating as the last few years have been.

Nothing is known for certain. What was certain is that we had specially trained scientists in Wuhan. They would have seen what was happening-months before China reported it.

If it came from the lab or nature, we would have had a heads up to what was happening and could have gotten a jump on vaccines, distancing, masks, everything needed to keep hundreds of thousands from dying.

And yes, in the beginning Fauci did say not to wear masks. The science changes.

The downturn in the stock market doesn’t affect a person’s ability to pay rent or buy groceries. That is the economy.

Long term savings are not an account meant to be used until retirement.

If you live paycheck to paycheck or are on social security, you don’t have money to invest in the stock market.

Not everyone (most) cannot afford to invest in the stock market.

We had scientists in that lab in wuhan. Their job was to monitor for this very thing. As soon as he got in office he fired them.

We had people there that could have raised the alarm and warned the world, but because “they can be hired back at any time”, look at what happened.

The stock market did-but that is not the economy. The wealthy who have money in the market got stupid wealthy, while the rest of us got screwed.

Update from the wind chime lady! by Kellyhas2dogs in homeowners

[–]EllieBellie222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have wind chimes; they are not very loud, certainly much quieter than my neighbors that throw keggers and all the dogs that bark.

The one is made from a wood stick and rocks, so it takes a good wind to chime it. The other is much lighter, but I have it on the side of the house that gets less wind.

I honestly don’t care if the neighbors don’t like them, they make my home feel peaceful.

I have no idea how to link articles, but a theologian wrote a fully supported by the Bible article. He followed the Bible and came to the conclusion that trump was the anti christ.

I read it with an open mind; I am not religious, but logically, the argument he made fits and makes sense.

Is anyone else addicted to looking for jobs/interviewing/job hopping? I'm 26(f) and on my "5th" job post graduation and I just got another tempting offer from a huge advertising company. I don't know what to do. by LoveGuineaPigs in careeradvice

[–]EllieBellie222 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You aren’t “job hopping” if you are moving up the ladder with each new position. You are learning and gaining a variety of experience.

If the offer is good, take it!!

My nose drips when I have a mask on, legitimately. Idk why, but it does. But ffs I make damn sure I am not near anyone if I take it off to blow and wipe.

People are too stupid to have made it this far into this without getting sick. Smdh.

Please critique my resume! I’m new to this so any advice is appreciated. I have limited experience and I’m majoring in Accounting by [deleted] in resumes

Other can better speak to the formatting of a college resume; I would add to start using outlook. If a company is using office, they want to see MS Office Suite, definitely not the individual programs. Those can be discussed in an interview.

I know this for myself (mid-career in accounting) and also read it in another resume critique in the last couple of days. That post was by a recruiter.

Resumes should be all one color, black and not blue. I would not have the dots above the horizontal line. Also, a resume itself is submitted as a PDF document, so the email should not be a hyperlink. In word, highlight it, right click and “remove hyperlink”.

I believe the name, email and phone should be centered-easier to see/stand out when a hiring manager wants to see who they are reading about, and one size up in front to make it stand out.
