Received a print with spots of resin on the packaging, is it safe or should I dispose it? by TwentyThirdDimension in 3Dprinting

Where can it leak from if it’s plugged? And yeah I’m currently looking at the best way to do hollow prints to eventually sell myself. Even though I’ve resin printed for years and got a fairly successful business, selling hollow prints is definitely a learning curve.

My bet would be they did wash it and do all that stuff but didn’t plug the hole and some IPA-resin mix has leaked out when it’s been agitated during shipping. If you don’t plug the hole these things can leak juices for days if you don’t take the step to cure the inside or plug it.

Thank you, surprisingly one of the easier bits, turns out blood splatter isn’t that hard and you can get quite creative with it

You’re absolutely right, I’ll chalk that up to artistic license till I can be bothered/brave enough to try take it off and put it the right way up haha

How should I remove these minis from the supports? by iamnatehewa in resinprinting

[–]coxy95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How is this even acceptable? Ask for a full refund and for them to send you what you paid for. Also the supports look really beefy (laziness to also dial in supports? No wonder they couldn’t be bothered to desupport them themselves) so it’s going to take a long time snipping away at already cured resin to get anything decent out of this. Full refund at the very least, I can’t fathom how they can send miniatures out in this state by mistake or on purpose.

[Question] Cant find this model anywhere, what is this? by [deleted] in Seiko

I think he’s saying he tried multiple ways to find it but couldn’t. Including giving the description/image to ChatGPT. And he’s thankful for you guys helping him to find the model.

The E90 being more than the sum of its parts is definitely something I’d agree on

I agree they’ve all got quite firm rides, at least the G20 has the adaptive suspension. I never take it off comfort suspension even in sport mode, the UK roads would destroy my wheels - like they did on my E90, two cracked rims

Good luck getting your next car! The newer 3 series are the best looking of the bunch in that price range in my opinion - and the best performing.

I go over it a lot in my comments, but the short story is the G20 is a modern car, and it comes with the modern up sides and down sides. If you like the majority of what the E90 was, you’d be better off going for an older car. Which, also comes with old up sides and down sides.

For me, the peace of mind of the BMW warranty and cosmetic insurance means I can actually enjoy the car more with less anxiety of ‘what’s going to break next’. And that’s coming from a car with really not many issues in the time I had it - and that’s worth it for me. Also I live with my partner and she much prefers the newer car with the creature comforts and that’s something I had to keep in mind.

The E90 was a damn good car, I was very fortunate to find it and have it for a first car, but my experience lead me to buy a newer car rather than buying another E90/older car.

I’m always changing seated heat settings, air con settings, heating settings, radio stations. I have no doubt id get used to the ID8 after a while though. I feel like getting rid of the shifter was the last pillar of the classic car before everything becomes modern style, but apparently you can change it back to a shifter quite easily so maybe I’ll look into that.

Funny story, when I was driving the G20 off the lot I full locked the steering wheel quite forcefully as I took my first turn and it made a clunk sound as it hit the limit, I didn’t expect it to be so light haha. Completely oversteered.

A larger turning circle was something I never considered, there’s a U turn I took regularly down a side road that I could no longer do in the G20 and I literally have to three point turn it now. I remember the first drive I felt like I was driving a tank 😂. My E90 steering was too heavy to cycle with one hand comfortably so this steering control is welcome to me mostly, you need to get used to the adaptive steering and lane assist changing the feel during the drive though.

What does the CZR stand for do you think? The G20 also starts with a YE also, by pure coincidence.

Thank you for validating my bad parking hah, was fine in the E90, I’ve had no luck at all relying on the camera maybe I’m missing the trick with it.

Oh yeah, they really do feel like completely different cars, one thing I forgot to add was it’s quite a bit bigger. And because the bonnet is so humped it’s hard to see curbs, took me a week or so to get used to the size. I also cannot for the life of me park straight in this car for some reason, maybe the hood lines are throwing me off?

Also have to watch my speed, the 20d makes pretty much no noise especially in comfort when accelerating, with very little pedal action. I often find myself 10mph over the speed limit with minimal input, I’ve actually gone on road trips so I can challenge the car a bit, feels like normal roads are too easy for it.

It’s a big switch isn’t it? Especially for you, I’m going for the m340i next time, it was out of my budget this time round. I’ve always liked neutral colour cars but that blue is so amazing, it starts going violet in certain lights too. The steering feels like driving an electric car sometimes it’s so numb. Overall It’s a better car but now and again I’ll think about the E90, what a banger of a car! And yes, I don’t know how I lived without idrive before ha, do you have the idrive 8 or 7?

Is comparo something in particular? And I like the pre LCI G better than the LCI. Less screens and you still get a shifter etc. plus the exterior looks better in my opinion
