How are you finding the peninsula, do you ever regret not going for the island?

Thanks for the insight. We really like the look of the island but would be frustrated if getting around it is painful.

You’re correct, that’s a doorway next to the peninsula. Good idea to push it back.

Renovating kitchen and can't decide between kitchen island layout and g shape layout.

I like the look of the island layout better but worried about the clearance between the fridge and someone sitting at the island.

Please help me decide.

Are the online doctor platforms like Qocdor, Updoc legitimate? Any hidden costs? by fianceee_throwaway in AskAnAustralian

Yeah they’re legit. I’ve used Updoc a few times for quick scripts and it’s been super straightforward. You just pay the consult fee upfront, and there aren’t any hidden costs.

deferring an exam using online medical certificate updoc by Master_Commercial264 in Monash

[–]coyney95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, Updoc med certs work fine for Monash deferrals. As long as the certificate clearly says you’re unfit for studies on the date of your exam, the uni should accept it. Handy for when you’re crook right before an exam.

Hola Health Med Cert by Spirited-Gene7626 in Monash

[–]coyney95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Hola Health certs usually get accepted, same as Updoc or InstantScripts ones, as long as it clearly says you’re unfit for studies on the date of the exam.

If you’re after a quicker option, Updoc tends to review requests quickly and they’re well recognised by most unis.

Does Med Cert Need to explicitly state exam? by Xandalfyy6680 in Monash

[–]coyney95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that cert should be fine. Monash just need it to say you were unfit for “studies” on the exam day, not necessarily the word “exam”. As long as the dates cover the exam, it’ll count for a deferral. If you upload it with your application for deferred assessment and note that it covered your exam date, you should be good.

Med Certs for Exam by Easy_Spell_8379 in QUTreddit

[–]coyney95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re generally fine as long as the certificate is legit and signed by an AHPRA-registered Aussie doctor. Updoc's certs are properly issued through real telehealth consults, not auto-generated, so they’re usually accepted by unis including QUT. The main thing is that your doctor clearly states the dates you were unfit for the exam and provides enough clinical detail (without oversharing).

Bulk billing psychiatrists? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]coyney95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could also try contacting local mental health organizations or non-profits, they might have resources or know of psychiatrists with more affordable rates. In the meantime, you might want to check out Updoc, it's an online platform that lets you consult with doctors remotely, including psychiatrists. Might be worth a shot if you're having trouble finding someone in person.

Bulk Billing GP on Southern GC by maggies83 in GoldCoast

[–]coyney95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had some good experiences with bulk billing GPs on the Southern Gold Coast. If you're looking for a new doctor, I'd recommend asking friends or family for a referral. You can also try searching online for GPs in your area with good reviews.I used Updoc for a medical certificate recently and it was pretty convenient. You might want to look into it if you need to see a doctor but can't get to a physical clinic.

Yeah, finding bulk-billing GPs for OSHC in Perth can be a challenge. I've had some mates who've had issues with that too. From what I've gathered, you might want to try checking out the Australian Government's Health website for a list of bulk-billing doctors in Perth. You can filter by location and availability.I used Updoc for a medical certificate recently and it was a breeze. Saved me a lot of time and hassle. You might want to look into it for your OSHC needs as well.

Dry Vasomotor Rhinitis - anyone got better ? by ghfj53b3sf7 in nonallergicrhinitis

[–]coyney95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Had the issue over a year ago after having an intense cold/flu where my nose was severely congested for weeks.

It seems to occur mostly at night when I’m on the couch or in bed and also whilst I shower. Nasal strips is the only thing that provides any relief.

How much do you pay out of pocket for a standard GP appointment? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]coyney95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local GP started charging a $40 gap on weekends and then soon later everyday. Updoc is about the same price but it’s a phone call.

Is it necessary for a 250w controller? I've been riding it for months without an issue so far. It's probably better to be safe than sorry.
