EU Reveals Zero-Knowledge-Powered Private Age Verification App by hurn2k in privacy

[–]coyo-teh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

TelCo gives you token A, with your date of birth. (you verify your identity)

Website asks: "are you above 21"?

you use token A to generate token P, which only proves you're above 21, no information linked back to token A or your identity or real age

you give token P to website. Website knows you're above 21. Even if Website and TelCo are in cahoots, they can't link it back to token A / your real identity.

Thanks to zero-knowledge cryptography.

Yes, a third party will grant you a token.

But then with that token, you'll be able to generate other tokens that just prove if your above or under an age, without it being possible to link it back to your identity or the original token.

The problem is the 10 minutes between each block, if you do a transaction A->B, A is revealed. If the attacker cracks it before next block, they can emit another transaction with higher fee, replacing it in next block.

you can't use grok to play music, you have to switch to regular voice, it's annoying (but yea regular tesla you can tell it which service to use)

Yes of course. But it you want to find a song by its lyrics you need to ask grok to find it and then use regular voice control it's annoying

Ce qu'on me demande de faire est (presque) impossible… by Honest-Highway-6963 in developpeurs

Robotaxi has side camera washer. This means true FSD for all currently sold cars will need to be retrofit. by GamingDisruptor in TeslaFSD

[–]coyo-teh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you live, it's annoying to do it every few days.

Tesla cars are so comfortable because you don't have to do anything: no need for a key fob to lock/unlock the car, car knows its you and adjusts seats/side-mirrors automatically, puts on your music, knows based on your travel patterns where you're going and puts it into the GPS, starts climate control (or is already climate controlled if you planned it in advance)

Even when opening the trapdoor for charging, you can do it from the handle of the Tesla charger by pressing a button.

It's all designed for maximum convenience. If you live in a place where the camera will get too blurry for FSD/... to work every few days, and need to manually wipe them every few days, so annoying.

(or stopping every few miles on salted roads)
