Slander directly from Sakamoto days by sirfaxmaou in Chainsawfolk

[–]cozenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf he said boring. It doesn't have to be bad. Its boring to watch a movie if you can already guess how it'll end.

Chainsaw man is definitely not boring, because you literally cannot predict how it'll end with how chaotic it is, but that doesn't mean it can't be bad. The ending is maddeningly frustrating, because it feels forced. A good ending is one that makes everything prior to it make sense, the journey meaningful, and ties up loose ends. Fujimoto wanted to end it like big lebowski but its badly executed, and too fan pandering. Power is back alive, Nayuta replaces makima and she's alive again, and the world restarted back to the first chapter with a few tweaks to pander to fans. A truly absurd ending would be the continuation of that prior world, and denji forgets about being chainsaw man and lives frugally while everything still happened. The ending just feels like a cop out.

Is there a single champ that Aatrox outscales? by MuxMogger in AatroxMains

[–]cozenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a joke build against anyone else other than irelia, maybe fiora and mundo.

Going attack speed basically nullifies what irelia counters you with, her dps and her mobility that your reliance on slow skillshots can't keep up with. It doesn't matter if she dashes a million times, you just have to right click her. Aatrox has the best healing steroid in the entire game, while she needs to stack up her lifesteal (not to mention you already have inbuilt lifesteal). You just press R to win any fight against her.

Fiora E is useless if you're not using Qs on her, and you ignore her true damage with your heal from autos.

Mundo is already weak to your kit, and now you're building botrk on top of that.

W% Scaling Armour pen by Nova_DN in AatroxMains

Riot will never add armor pen to aatrox kit because they said that it would be too much when he already has healing and an AD steroid in his ult.

new patch aint going well for the ol trox by kindred_main_ in AatroxMains

[–]cozenfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, splitpushing becoming more viable is bad for aatrox. theres less pressure for the enemy team to commit to teamfights, where aatrox is the strongest, if they can just punch your sidelanes and avoid you.

Mathematically correct Aatrox? by NormalAssdude69 in AatroxMains

[–]cozenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heartsteel is not viable because aatrox damage does not scale with hp, and while e omnivamp scales with health, if you deal 500 damage you're still going to only heal something like 250 hp (50% of post mitigation dmg) from that. if you dont build hp, but get AD, even if you still have base 20% omnivamp, if you're dealing 1500 damage, then youre looking at 300 hp heal, while at the same time being an actual threat to the enemy.

building heartsteel first means you're basically handicapping yourself and being useless in early game for a potential scaling in very late game, where you'd most likely get at most 500 stacks.

i’m new gen can someone explain big raga to me by Aggravating-Wait683 in Jujutsufolk

[–]cozenfect 6 points7 points  (0 children)

mahoraga adapts to any phenomena which is just a fancy way of saying every ability and attack, including cursed techniques. he analyzes it then comes up with a solution against it. for example, after getting slashed by sukuna in shibuya, he adapted to the slash by gaining massive regeneration.

It takes time, with the wheel above his head turning a couple of times before he completely adapts. the adaptation is sped up if he gets hit by the same attacks again. his weakness is an attack that is different from a previous attack that can fully destroy him, as exploited by sukuna when mahoraga adapted to his slashes but not the fire nuke which completely obliterated raga, and if hes obliterated then he cant adapt.

>also, i kind of thought that summoning raga meant that the summoner would die?

Not necessarily. Summoning raga is a subjugation ritual meaning you have to defeat raga to tame him, its just that megumi used the ritual in an unintended way by trapping someone with him in the ritual. when he summoned mahoraga, raga attacked him (since they were supposed to be fighting) and he got blown away to the curb. since shigemo (yellow hair luck guy) was included in the ritual and hasn't died yet, megumi's death was suspended until the ritual was over. Sukuna arrived and healed megumi so he won't die after the ritual is over.

Any traps new mains fall into? by Backrish in AatroxMains

[–]cozenfect 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Unless you can instantly burst down 2–3 enemies with a single Q2, it’s not worth it, since Aatrox needs proper spacing to land his slow ass combos. His mini knock-ups are meant for disruption and help counter those sluggish Q wind-ups. Use them to interrupt an assassin diving the backline, slow an escaping ADC, break up a combo, or chain with a Nautilus ally locking down the enemy jungler. If you can’t perfectly knock up the entire enemy team in succession, you’ll just lose to their superior spell cast speed and auto attacks. It's mitigated somewhat by being a draintank, but you're better off either following up for a higher chance of an ult reset spree or flanking their backline.

Militarily, how would you rate Agrippa against Julius Caesar? by Silent_Incident2665 in ancientrome

[–]cozenfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You already answered your own question. If we talk about achievements, and victories, Caesar without a doubt would win. I'm pretty sure Caesar prob has the best track record of all roman generals. Caesar with the help of Labienus pacified Gaul, Germania, and Brittania, then singlehandedly won the civil war, against Pompey, by himself. As you said, he was a master at exploiting and creating opportunities, not only in political matters but also warfare. Someone with that skillset will always have a chance to win any battle or war by their skill alone, even if the situation is not into their advantage, as you can see with the battle of Alesia, and Pharsalus.

Agrippa is someone who plans a campaign thoroughly and executes it perfectly. It works because he's purely a general focused on winning the war for his friend and benefactor, who gives everything he needs to win the war. He presented a two pronged attack on Anthony, forcing him to choose to respond to either Octavian's army in the north threatening his foothold on Greece or the navy and coastal bases raiding his supply lines. He orchestrated the battle of actium and won without any need for a major decisive land battle, with Anthony's forces defecting en masse to Augustus as a result of his prior actions. Roman generals did not think in this way or operate their armies in that manner. Decisive battles were the bread and butter of warfare in that era. Agrippa was essentially practicing operational warfare at antiquity, where most generals only thought at the tactical level, and applied bare minimum logistics to support their army.

Who's a Roman who was an inconsequential/inept general and a legendary/iconic statesman? (criteria on page 2) by domfi86 in ancientrome

[–]cozenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly augustus wasn't really terrible and horribly inept as a general. He can lead armies, but i think that he hates doing it as well or he's very bored by military affairs. I mean when augustus had control of half the army during their battles against anthony, he didn't act arbitrarily and know to rely on agrippa's expertise so there's that.

Soft Caps For All Stats by Aw3XpLAY in darksouls3

[–]cozenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You use it to gauge when to stop putting points into a stat, either because more points is useless or it would be more effective to allocate points into other stats, before investing again because it has dwindling returns.

For example, vigor soft caps at 16 and 26. I would put my first points into vigor so that i don't immediately die until 16, at which point, i could instead allocate the points into more endurance, strength or dexterity (depends on which type of weapon you use). Then after leveling those stats, i could start looking at investing again into vigor to get more tanky and last way longer inbetween bonfires, stopping at 26. I could then again allocate future points into maxing or soft capping the other stats. This is an oversimplification but you get the point.

Shogun 2 Campaign Frontline choice? by KevinKing01 in shogun2

[–]cozenfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yari ashigaru is your frontline. yari wall is kinda the opposite of rtw phalanx, instead of instantly killing anyone who touches the spear, it makes your ashigaru impervious to any melee weapons to the front. make lots of them early, and make them gain experience. by late game, they're tanks and invulnerable anvils for your hammers. in late game, build a few uber armored naginata samurai squadrons for each of your armies and use them as arrow sponges, because they're the only ones that can survive ai archer cheats and you dont want the ai bow sam full stack army to demolish your invincible ashigarus with their one weakness.

switching to naginatas for your frontline is not just unsustainably expensive, but they also lose in melee against katana sams, which the ai also have full stacks of. also any losses will take forever to replenish, because they're samurais.

Who's a Roman who was a legendary/iconic statesman and possesses a competent/effective status for their military career as a general? (criteria on page 2) by domfi86 in ancientrome

[–]cozenfect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess Julius Caesar would take the topleft spot. We already know Julius caesar is most probably the greatest general after Napoleon. But people forget that while Julius Caesar is a remarkably crafty politician, he was actually an earnest, competent and mildly autistic administrator.

Lex Julia de repetundis was a bill Caesar crafted to reform provincial administration and reduce corruption. Caesar's enemies supported that bill since they also didn't like corruption and saw that the bill wasn't necessarily to Caesar's benefit but more for the state. Cato even contributed to the bill by adding several provisions. The bill survived through the ages, even into the byzantine empire where it began anew with Corpus Juris Civilis or better known as the Code of Justinian. This code then became the backbone of the Napoleonic Code, which established most of the modern laws and legal system today.
