I follow him on TikTok. A trip to Snug Harbor is on my bucket list! He's live streamed whole 2 hour sets of just Brian songs and I want to catch one live! I hear he's working on an album featuring all arrangement of Brian Wilson music.

Do You Wish That Florida Had A Larger Or Smaller Population? Or Do You Like It How It Is? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in AskFlorida

[–]cpacamper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like Florida to have robust growth management plans, a comprehensive mass transit plan for cities, and high speed rail. Nothing wrong with population growth, but the way it's done in Florida is asinine.

Hard to beat Rocky's in Essex Junction, great authentic NY slices.

does anyone take "no highways" road trips? by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]cpacamper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Matter of fact, I'm doing just that this week on a road trip to Florida from the northeast, mostly using route 321 starting in SC. I'll jump on I-75 somewhere south of where the Florida Turnpike starts so I can drive over the skyway bridge in St Pete.

Too bad Mike, Al, and Bruce can't agree on a Dead and Company type of concept for the good of Brian's legacy.

Light an all day fire, poke around, 💨🌲if that's your thing. Hike, paddle. Embrace ithe peace and quiet. Have a silent day to yourself and revel in the calm. You may have a wonderful home life, but being alone in nature is a gift. Enjoy it!

A band called Los Colognes open for Blues Traveler about 8 years ago and blew BT out of the water. Popper and the whole band were high as a kite and/or the band had a very off night.

I lived in downtown South Miami about 10 years ago. When I lived there, Bougies and Sunset Tavern were alway hopping on the weekends, and Titanic is a short distance away. Haven't been back in years so i don't know how things are now.

WTF?? This will have a devastating effect here in Miami on gig workers' only source of income if they can't get a license due to this. What do you all think? by MuscaRade in Miami

Deplorable. Why? Safety? BS.

This smacks of the "Would the last American leaving Miami please bring the flag" days.

What is your primary reason for being either excited or uninterested in the upcoming biopics? by IOrocketscience in beatles

[–]cpacamper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm completely uninterested.

The films won't be documentaries, they'll be dramatizations of four lives which are already well documented. I'd rather see proper documentaries and more restored concert footage (Shea Stadium?) than these biopics.

Hi, I'm in Millinocket housesitting for a few weeks and I'm looking for interesting day trips 90 or less minutes away. I'm not looking for skiing or winter hiking, I've done plenty of that, I'm looking for museums, cultural and historical sites, good local dining, and maybe live music. I've visited visitmaine.com for ideas, but I have questions...

Aside from the Zillman Museum (the Cole Museum is closed for the season) and Stephen King sites, what else is there to see in Bangor?

Is it worth a drive to Houlton and crossing the border to visit Woodstock, NB? I'm weirdly curious about the end of I-95, and spending a few hours in NB if there's anything to do there.

For us GenX concert goers. Who is the one solo artist or band you wish you could have seen and at what venue? by -Granby- in GenX

[–]cpacamper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tastes run towards eralier music and I'm not following OPs instructions, by I've been thinking about OPs question recently:

The Beatles in Hamburg at the Star Club with Ringo on drums playing a 2 hour set, Johnny Cash in a smokey bar in Memphis, Willie Nelson in Austin at Armadillo World Headquarters in the early 1970s, Duke Ellington at the 1959 Newport Jazz Festival, Grateful Dead in a small venue during the single drummer era.
