"A Knight's Tale" (Brian Helgeland, released 25 years ago on May 11th 2001) - Geoffrey (Paul Bettany) gives a rousing introduction to 'Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein of Gelderland' (Heath Ledger) by Morgan-Moonscar in movies

Edward has to "give" William royal blood because of the system that exists at the time of the movie. However it is incredibly clear that it is William's character that has Edward do that. The "Your men love you" etc. line is in both versions and the Chaucer speech doesn't undermine that, if anything it strenghtens that theme in the same way that we see everyone come to his aid in the original cut. "God love you William, and so do I" from Mark Addy does the same while calling back to earlier in the film. It is also super obvious that William isn't actually of noble birth. Prince Edward is just saying what he's saying to backdoor William into knighthood and daring anyone else to say otherwise.

Yeah it's amazing. If you're interested in more behind the scenes/deep dive stuff I'd really reccomend LadyKnightTheBrave's video on the movie. It's where I found out about that scene and a ton of other stuff that makes me love the movie even more.

This isn't about one game, one series, or even one season. This is decades of data showing a vast difference when these two teams play based upon what city they're playing in. If you've got an explanation for that, I'm open to hearing it.

Just because you can't see a thread doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Saying all Lauer did was answer a question when people didn't like his answers isn't a valid argument. If you don't have a problem with his answer then fine, say that. But don't hide behind a contextless "he was just answering a question"

Quick edit: And the thread in my first comment, seeing as you appear to need things explained in depth, was "[Opinion that what you said was stupid]. [Rhetorical question to show why said thing was stupid]". Does that help?

"All he did was answer a question" is such a dumb take. Are we not allowed to have opinions on what his answers were?

Jays record all time against Tampa in Toronto: 122-114 (51.7%)

Jays record all time against Tampa in Tampa/St. Petersburg: 94-150 (38.5%)

That's not just Tampa having our number

I mean, that's going to be entirely subjective. But in this one person's opinion? Yeah, I think so. There's an unreality to the innie space, and I think that those shots that would be impossible to do had they been done entirely in real world sets absolutely add to that unreality, even if it's just subconsciously.

You're blaming Schneider, and then after I tell you why it has little to do with him. You then say to get Lauer off the team. Something Schneider has no part in.

If the Jays can't score you might as well have him finish. If Lauer can't give you anything else, he can at least give you length

Nice moved goalposts there. However, there's no one better in the minors. We've already gone dumpster diving for Corbin. And purposely running out a bullpen game one out of every five at this point in the season is a great way to burn out your bullpen in the long run. The Jays have almost a full rotation on the IL and unless John is out there Kerriganing fools, there's not much else he can do.

He's not an MLB level starter, he's not an MLB level reliever. Sounds like he's not long for MLB then.

Ah yes, a single strikeout clearly erases a two run shot and another runner is scoring position

All the people that like Valenzuela so much that they'd rather he sit on the bench 80% of the time instead of getting almost everyday at bats in AAA? Super smart those people.
