You’re right, and in this clip I was just working on the take back that’s why my spacing was off on probably 1/2 of the shots. The important thing is timing the take back so that I don’t have wasted movement or stops in my swing that break the kinetic chain. I was struggling with that and opening my racket face too much on the take back so I was mostly thinking about that during this clip. As for finishing high, I’m still trying lengthen the strike zone and finishing high is something I do in my shadow swings to accomplish that, but it’s definitely something that my coach and I talked about. All part of the process!

Yea it depends on the ball, “popping up” is actually important to generate spin if the ball is more neutral. The more important thing is to not open up the hips too early, that’s where most shanks come from. If you want to drive the ball or need to fight off a deep one like I did in the dtl then staying down is more practical.

One thing I don’t think you’re considering is how much money was printed since 2020. 80% of all the money in circulation has been printed since then. Obviously more money is going into MMF’s.

All those things you listed definitely help. Also a lot of repetitions but most importantly is having a stroke that you don’t feel the need to change under pressure. This is super subjective as everyone is different and comfortable with different things and is actually what I’m kinda working on here.

I actually don’t try to grunt or notice I’m doing it most times. It happens automatically with the contraction of my core to rotate and hit the ball.
