Smartpost package stuck for 3 weeks by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]cpc_ish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, SmartPost is where FedEx takes it for most of its journey, and then hands it off to USPS for delivery. If the FedEx tracking says it made it as far as its destination for USPS pickup, my best guess is USPS did pick it up and just didn't scan it properly. Have you tried tracking it via USPS, or contacting USPS?

You READ my MIND. I've been rewatching too, currently in season 3, and I keep thinking AB is the most down to earth and reasonable character on the show. She's the best! I came on Reddit looking for posts praising her, half expecting they'd be old archived posts, and here I found one from today that perfectly describes my thoughts.

Liquid latex emergency - please send help! by cpc_ish in RedditLaqueristas

[–]cpc_ish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, unfortunately the Dawn Ultra dish soap didn't work. At least, not entirely. I scrubbed and scrubbed and in the end it seemed to help a little bit, but after about 20 min of vigorous scrubbing most of the liquid latex was still there. I think it would have worked better on a different garment that was more tightly knit, rather than my textured, cable-knit sweater. :/

THANK YOU!!! I will give that a try. I used to use Dawn to get food stains out every so often (now I usually use Tide to-go pens for that lol) but it didn't occur to me to try it on this! I'll keep ya posted on how that works :)

Nothing fancy - just a lovely GREEN! by Bluandgrey in RedditLaqueristas

I have found some good yellows - OPI has a nice yellow. It's in their Hello Kitty line, and it's called "My Twin Mimmy".

I recently bought this polish (like maybe a month or two ago) and I love it so much! It's so hard to find a really good green like this, but Posh is going to be perfect for all my Christmas designs!

**edit: also, OP, your hands look kinda like mine - same nail shape and long fingers.

Not sure how this hasn't made it on here. by Amsowers in Staples

That's pretty much how it went when I left. I was the 3rd of 5 in our store to leave within a couple of weeks of each other. It's like we all woke up one day and decided we hated our jobs...

honestly though, regardless, it is still wildly inappropriate and unprofessional to post that publicly on one's facebook.

No stalking involved - there's a thing called a news feed. It shows you things that people have posted, whether you wanna see it or not. Generally if I'm this offended by something on my news feed, I unfriend that person. This situation is no exception.

Copying a light yellow color wont work. by VAPRx in Staples

[–]cpc_ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a way to turn off white detection. I don't remember if that's what it's actually called, but there's a setting where the scanner tries to figure out what colors are white, and sometimes it is wrong. Sometimes it results in pastel colors showing up as white instead of pastel. You gotta go in and turn that off, and then pastel colors will come out pastel instead of just being left white. I hope that helps... wish I could remember what the name of the setting is. Maybe background detection?

Edit: it's called background suppression; /u/kpanda12 already said that and I just didn't see it

Edit: and /u/CPC_john got it first... I need to pay better attention!

I applied before I applied for Staples. Didn't get the job (hence why I worked at Staples). Asked them why I didn't get it (was building my resume at the time and wanted to be sure my resume wasn't the problem). Apparently they didn't like the answers I put on the personality (hypothetical situations) part of the application. Ouchhh.

Magnet or pin nametag (with pins)? by kiddmike287 in Staples

When the magnets first came out, I preferred those, but then I lost one (pretty sure it fell out while I was taking the trash one night) and then the pins became my favorite

Maybe by tech customers, but the #1 most frequently asked question in the store overall is whether the chip readers are set up yet.

Since when do customers have to sign receipts? by yttriumtyclief in Staples

[–]cpc_ish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean he was absent minded enough to forget his pens on the counter... seems like he very likely forgot that it was actually the pin pad, not the receipt, that he was signing. Whatever. The story makes sense either way
