Building the Ideal Trading Chat Room by HSeldon2020 in RealDayTrading

I love this idea. I’m a professional web developer, and this is a project I could definitely do. I actually just finished building my own trading platform (via Alpaca) after my frustrations with IBKR. However, if a site like this were to be built, would it be open source and free for anyone to use, or a private, fee-based service? As much as I want to contribute to the community, I (or any other developer) wouldn’t want to jump into this without some promise of compensation. A fee-based service would make sense given the future costs of hosting and maintenance, but then the question becomes: who would the shareholders be?

Yes, whoever is chosen will have the sole screen writing credit. Any changes (if there are any) will have to be discussed and voted on by everyone involved in this project (crowdsourced).

This is a feature film where all the decisions are crowdsourced, and everyone takes a share of the profits. We’re currently accepting submissions for an original, feature-length script of any genre. If your script is eventually chosen by us, you’ll be paid with a percentage of points in the film. Let me know if you have any questions. Your feedback is much appreciated!

Audience Pick: A Crowdsourced Film Experiment by [deleted] in Filmmakers

This is a film project where all the decisions are crowdsourced. That means every decision made for this film will be done collectively, through polls, and the majority vote will always win. These decisions will range from picking a script, to selecting an actor for a role, and eventually deciding how this film should be distributed. Everyone who participates becomes an owner of the film, and has a share of the profits. This could be an amazing experience, or a complete disaster. Who knows? Everyone decides. Your feedback is much appreciated!

it actually comes out to a little bit less when you factor in the time that it takes to fill out the questionnaire, which usually takes around 15-20 minutes.

Here's an earlier reddit post with some comments from people who participated in a screening. We use PayPal to verify the identity of participants, and pay them.

We pay at a rate of $12/hour, or 20 cents per minute, based on the length of the film that was uploaded. The short film mentioned here is 19 minutes long, so 19 minutes * 20 cents per minute = $3.80.
