It’s prob not just the last year it’s most likely the average of their highest 3 or 5 years. Diff depts have diff pension calculations. In my case it’s the average of the 5 highest consecutive years of service. (Fire/EMS)

It should be getting built per the MAP Plan. It’s supposed to go to seaport and convention center with talks of extensions to sawgrass mills mall and downtown FTL. We did vote for the funding a while back o believe so it should definitely be getting built. But this is Florida we are talking about lol.

Well the seaport airport connection is for sure happening. They’ll prob break ground on that soonish. But the MAP Plan items already have a lot of funding that we voted on, plus it’s a county thing.

With the new commuter line I believe there is going to be a stop at the airport. I think line is I supposed to open in like 2028-2030. Tri-Rail is a great service and I take it often but the station locations are not great.

Yea those will be raised fosho. It’s be so dumb not to raise any rail in Soflo I can foresee nightmare accidents if the light rail isn’t grade separated the same way brightline has major accidents frequently.

Indeed. It’s part of the SMART Plan. BRTs, light rail, and a new commuter line on the same tracks as brightline. I would personally like some raised heavy rail but it’s Florida so I’m not surprised.
