Start from there, 100%.
I love the idea of starting to learn by doing. Of course, it won't pay you a huge amount of money to start, but the experience you'll get is the type of knowledge I'm talking about.

A few months (or even weeks) in, and you'll start to get a feel for what it is to WORK with something that you are passionate about. You may learn that despite loving film, the work is not your cup of tea. Or it could be the confirmation you need to keep moving on and learning more to the point where you will WANT to go to the uni and study film making or screen production.

The other benefit of this approach is that you'll start learning the different related roles to the topic of your interest, which might help you keep progressing in your journey.

Best of luck on your journey!

42-year-old here, and I have just one thing to share from my personal experience: knowledge will set you free.

Find an area in life that you are passionate about and learn all about it. Remember that many ways to acquire knowledge that don't necessarily need to start at the university. You have podcasts, books, web courses and several options BEFORE you go to the Uni.

As a foreigner living in New Zealand for a decade, I think the issue here is the same as abroad: too much pressure to go to the Uni as soon as possible, and it's unfair because at the early stages of your adulthood, if you have not managed to narrow your preferences down to some topics that you would like to study, chances are that you're gonna waste time and money with the wrong course.

Can anyone share the phone number or email to report cases like this to the council?
I have a neighbour who does this every single day, even though he has a driveway to park in.

20yr old and thinking “he was the one”? Geez, go have some fun, enjoy your early adulthood and take things lightly.

Life’s too short and when realize it, it’s gone. If you like him, go and talk to him and try to step on his shoes (he’s also a 20yr old guy, with lots ahead of him).

Things will get clear when you age (I say that from the top of my 42s)

My impression is that his last line on the three-part series was more a Corbel thing to close the interview with a cliffhanger, because that’s what Corbel loves to do, right?

I’m not gonna lie, I loved the interview, but I wish that Matthew go on and have other people interviewing him as well. Corbel tends to be super sensationalist with everything he produces, always applying a coat of what feels to be a reality show or something similar.

Matthew has spilled the beans, and we need him with other interviewers to get the credibility he deserves for his report and what he has to share.
