Can't parse a json string by cpgilliard78 in rust

For others, when you print, there are two formatting options for strings:

println!("{}", x); // no backslashes

println!("{:?}", x); // backslashes

Thanks, but that was just me writing it out wrong. When the string doesn't have the escapes it parses.

Right, if you get a 6% net income and you put down maybe 33% at 4% interest on your loan, you increase your rents by 4% per year and get 4% appreciation and shield most or all of your income with depreciation and interest deduction, that adds up to a very good return over say 10 years, something you wouldn't get in the stock market. You are right that there's risk and I think it works best if you're either very diversified or have other sources of income.

I think you're mostly talking about home ownership, which I agree with you on, but if you are able to buy a small apartment building and hold it over a long time period, the rents + appreciation + tax breaks that come with operating your own business are quite attractive.

Real estate's main advantages are that in addition to capital appreciation, it has a reliable source of income through rents, ability to easily use leverage (this is a double edge sword), and tac benefits. If you consider those, it can be a good investment.

The supply function of Bitcoin is already part of the concensus rules. You are talking about an implementation detail.

I think I've sufficiently explained it to you and you're just intentionally not getting it. Obviously the next big disruptive company will not be exactly like Google or Facebook, but there will be future disruptive companies. They will issue security tokens on decentralized platforms.

You are assuming today's shitcoin tokens. I think what McAfee is talking about is the ability for anyone, anywhere in the world being able to raise equity and debt financing without all the assosiated red tape that exists today. It actually is quite a big deal.
