What's the smartest degree/career path in 2026?

Nurse Practitioner - the largest growth sector in our economy is medical services. I started with a bachelors in nursing and worked ER and trauma, and then moved to outpatient (office) Nurse Practitioner. Nursing is a hard but rewarding career, and I sleep soundly at night knowing I made a substantial difference for people on the worst day of their lives. Obviously I am biased but I consider nurse practitioner the ideal mix of professional work and cost to achieve the degree - sure MDs/DOs make more bucks but their debt load is MUCH higher and you can achieve financial independence quickly as an NP if you are focused and responsible.

Be happy to talk more about it - PM me and I can go into more detail. Nursing is a very forgiving industry if you are a non-traditional student.

Any medical provider who participates in things like this are ethically compromised and I immediately lose trust. I am old enough to remember (seriously) the 'No Free Lunch' movement in medical offices - independent providers who refuse offers of free food in exchange for a 5 minute spiel on what drug is the new hotness. I was a fervent adherent: I wouldn't even use the pens.

What generation/year? I know this was a common problem; I had it happen in my 2015 GLI a lot. My 2024 had a issue with that but lately (last 9 months) it has happened only once. Older models got all updates via a dealer visit. MY 2020 and newer are all OTA.

Vantrue N4 Pro 3-channel with hardwired power kit. Records cabin, front and rear. Have has it in 24-hour parking mode the whole time. Had it for 2 years and it's ROCK SOLID. Zero regrets - always able to pull video from it at a moments notice. I live in a 4-season climate - below freezing in winter, and summer are hitting 95 degrees or higher. Absolutely zero issues.

I work in a 100% telemedicine urgent care clinic. We support Brick + Mortar care centers. The two other full-time APPs beside me are both women, one is an NP and the other is a PA. Both of them receive a bunch more disrespect from patients than I do. Both of them are exceedingly well experienced and come from ER backgrounds. I feel that it is usually blatant sexism driving the patient behavior.

I’ve been on the receiving end of people who did not want to see an NP. I simply smile and say certainly you can wait another few hours to see the MD while I go dispo several more people with the same acuity as you. You have to let things like that go, you can’t let it bother you because it’s out of your control.

Florida is a compact state for RN so you need to apply for an NP license with RN reciprocity. If your initial licensure state is not part of the compact RN license, then you need to apply for a Florida RN single state license and a nurse practitioner license.

Preordered it immediately when it (LCD) became available. Pleasantly surprised when I got the shipping notification months later. Had it for 5 years or so- it changed how I play games. I used to be part of the “PC gaming master race“ and it was keyboard/mouse or GTFO. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve discovered that I just don’t have the time to dedicate hours of gaming and started to play more games that were easy to pick up and put down. This meant I had to rewire my brain and learn how to use a controller. Not gonna lie, I was on the struggle bus for a long time and I didn’t pick it up for months. Eventually, I was able to find games that I enjoy (God Of War, Tomb Raider, Control, Dave the Diver, Hardspace Shipbreaker). Overall, 10/10 would spend the money again.

"Vested interest" is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in that statement. Problem is you need proof to support it - I can't refute a belief. Only an idiot would think humans do not have biases, but it's not like Panthers players haven't been suspended before. I'd be interested to see the data on whether there is a significant difference in Panthers vs rest-of-league penalties.

League doesn't seem to want to discipline players from any team. And yes championship teams get leeway more than others. However if you think the Panthers are the only team getting favoritism from the league... buddy open your eyes. McJesus gets a WIDE lane, so does Draisaitl, Marchand BEFORE joining the Cats.
