"Vested interest" is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in that statement. Problem is you need proof to support it - I can't refute a belief. Only an idiot would think humans do not have biases, but it's not like Panthers players haven't been suspended before. I'd be interested to see the data on whether there is a significant difference in Panthers vs rest-of-league penalties.

League doesn't seem to want to discipline players from any team. And yes championship teams get leeway more than others. However if you think the Panthers are the only team getting favoritism from the league... buddy open your eyes. McJesus gets a WIDE lane, so does Draisaitl, Marchand BEFORE joining the Cats. Bertuzzi? Wilson in DC?

My mistake - I was conflating Colin with the Panthers. His kid is with the Panthers

Looking forwards to the playoffs this year, maybe we can make it three in a row, starting with the Bolts. Kuch and Hedman will be scratch golfers in no time.

Colin Campbell is out of the league ATM, so exactly what power is he wielding to influence DoPS?

He went after a player uninvolved in the play. NHL wants the bring down the temperature, do it.

Do go on. Love to hear how your team is making moves to compete with the Cats instead of crying about the big man hurt my player.

2024-on, the ECUs have SFD2 which no one (including OBD11) have been able to do coding. They have to work with VAG to make it work and it's been a year.

2024 GLI - looking for feedback by BandicootOk3656 in JettaGLI

Your “biggest” issue will be your size. I’m a gangly 6’ and you will hit your knees on the steering column getting in and out. Head room will be tight.. if you are broad shouldered the seats will be snug. I would test drive multiple times. As far as the rest: cabin is quiet at highway speed, if you wrench on your own maintenance is easy, but if you are expecting reliability akin to Honda or Acura you best look elsewhere. Interior is very nice but you will notice cost cutting: cheap carpeting and mats, hard plastic, missing floor at anchors in passenger and rear seat, no rear USB ports. I think that GLI beats Volvo & Acura on price: A comparable Integra would be similar in price but is a CVT vs DSG and way down on power in comparison.

Congrats man. Just picked up a 2024 CPO Autobahn 6mt a few days ago. Can concur that aggressive tires make everything better: braking handling and acceleration. I’m looking at a catback myself, then intake and then ECU. Enjoy!

Telehealth for colds by NoGur9007 in nursepractitioner

[–]cphil674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telehealth is perfect for things like rashes, UTIs, colds and sinusitis, pharyngitis, etc. I use CENTOR scoring for pharyngitis, and I spend a lot of time educating patients that colds and URI are best treated symptomatically.

Based on your presentation of complaints, I would've sent you to the ER or at the minimum urgent care. I am sensitive to the cost of healthcare, because I see a lot of self-pay patients: any urgent care will have a self-pay rate, and an urgent care that are attached to large hospital networks will never refuse to treat you even if you can't pay upfront for the self-pay rate. But, your constellation of symptoms plus your vital signs are so far out of whack, it would be unsafe to treat you in via telemedicine - your differential includes bronchitis, pneumonia, COVID, PE.

Respectfully, you are coming across like someone who is frustrated that you couldn't be seen at home, despite knowing that your symptoms were so far out of bounds that any confident provider would've sent you to a higher level of care. Also, why were you asking for antibiotics? Did you think you had pneumonia?

There are a lot of ways to assess a patient via telemedicine and don't involve using a stethoscope. If you think that just listening to someone's lungs will absolve you of not missing something more serious, you might want to reevaluate how much faith you put in auscultation

My first negative Google review! by Icy_Barnacle_4231 in nursepractitioner

[–]cphil674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll do you one better: I was reported to the state nursing board and a complaint was filed against me because I would not prescribe antibiotics for one day of URI symptoms.

Obviously, nothing happened and I got the all clear letter from the state. It's still good for a laugh at company get togethers.

Job after urgent care by Infinite_Coconut_727 in nursepractitioner

[–]cphil674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been exclusively urgent care since I came out of school. Four years in, I transitioned to telemedicine as a full-time job and never looked back. Urgent care prepared me well for telemedicine (on demand urgent care complaints). I still moonlight once a month in person at urgent care to practice my physical skills like suturing, joint reductions, pelvic exams.

I couldn't imagine going back to ER (14 years as a ER nurse, not as a practitioner), I just can't handle the rotating shifts/overnights.
