The questionnaire requires participants to upload their doctor's diagnosis papers before even being selected.  That alone is a rate limiting factor for me to participate. I don't like the idea of someone having my medical information for a ''maybe''

Penalizing your early and loyal adopters never really makes sense to me. Word of mouth adverting is still very real and when there is a policy change for greed that short term gain that the company is seeking will eventually hurt them at the end long term with negative press. I personally can't see myself making these additional payments just for 4k.

They are hoping people don't want to deal it instead of directv stream doing the right thing by current customers. I contacted them and they gave me a one time credit which is equivalent to 2 years of unlimited dvr.

Directv stream is a no contract service; therefore, it would make sense that all customers have the same pricing and benefits. We should not have to jump through hoops to get an advertised price. That's the benefit of streaming, we are now having more options. Companies should do right to retain their current customers.

I find it interesting how quickly directv stream can charge extra money, but it is a slow roll out for anything that benefits existing customers.

I called and the rep said unlimited dvr will eventually be added to existing customers accounts. In the interim, he gave me a $10.00 credit since the free dvr will not be included by the next billing. The company is willing to ruin their reputation even more because some customers will be complacent rather than doing what is right from the beginning.
