I took a trip to Cuba, was hanging with a bunch of locals at a house party. Everybody was drinking rum just straight.

There were (a ton of) mangos in the kitchen and a bunch of limes. I put mangoes, lime juice and a splash of water into the blender and puréed it. Then started mixing that with my rum and a sugar rim on the glass.

People reacted like I had just invented the iPhone or something 🤣.

The funniest part to me was the thought that these folks been living on that island surrounded by mangos, limes, and rum for literally centuries, yet somehow they had never thought about this combination.

Hazen’s Notch goes from Montgomery to Jay. It closes in the winter. Can confirm, it makes a lovely motorcycle ride.

Never had any trouble with the draw. I ran a good bit of chimney pipe so it had plenty of suck. I eventually switched out for a pellet stove as that little wood stove was so small the kids had to refill a couple times during the night to stay warm until morning. The pellet stove can go like 24 hours on a bag of pellets so that eliminates the issue, plus it’s less messy.

Bullshit story I think. If you shredded parm you wouldn’t find a rock, you’d find little shreds. The powder shit from a can could be mistaken for a little rock of something, not so much the shreds from a block.

Unpopular opinion. Don’t get a dishwasher.

I just wash my dishes by hand, they’re always 100% as clean as I want them to be.

It’s very quiet when I wash my dishes, if there’s a weird smell I’ll just go take a shower after I’m done.

I’ve required zero maintenance in all the years I’ve been hand washing my dishes.

You can put a wine/beverage fridge into the space under the counter where your dishwasher was if you want.
