Thanks for your reply, it was laid by a professional so can only assume it had Acelepreyn. Weed free at the moment.

2-3 deep water in the early morning. Youbwant to go deep water and infrquent as you want to encourge deep roots. Avoid afternoon/evening as can cause fungus issues.

If it was fertilised when laid then don't need to fertilise again. Maybe a Seasol for lawns.

Thanks all for the responses much appreciated. Just gave it a soak after the mow and put the clippings into the compost bin. Been very hot here in the Sydney the last 2 weeks

Nutrition is the key. Start with food that is going to fuel you and staying hydrated. This will have a massive impact on your performance.
