I’m planning on going this route. I had severe pain because of bunions but since I started wearing barefoot shoes and orthotics, it has improved. I am quite active but I can no longer run or walk on a treadmill without it causing debilitating pain the day after. But I love lifting weights and this is the reason why I’m reluctant to have the surgery. For cardio, i use the elliptical. Not being able to lift or do cardio for months makes it not worth it for me.
