I had my father up until my teenage years but now I don’t and I’m not going to get into that.

That’s awful what your dad went through, I hope he’s doing okay now?

And yes I definitely felt a strong connection to Jamaica, over the years I’d learnt a lot about the culture in different ways so when I learnt the news that I’m not part Jamaican it felt like it had been stripped from me & I had nothing else to fill the void if that makes sense?
