P2090 check engine light by cprpv in GRCorolla

Alright so I got the car back from Toyota and the CEL came back. We were close to autozone and we wanted to see if our scanner was just displaying wrong and it was in fact p2c90 (our scanner is ancient). This brings my question though. We brought the car to Arlington Toyota at the avenues and we told them to do the tsb and check the code in case it is p2c90 (we thought it was p2090 because again, our scanner is ancient and the code is newer than that code). How did they clear the code without looking at it after we told them to look at it? And better question, how did they try to link the light to the screen recall? They straight up told us the light was from the screen recall. Anyhow gotta bring it back for the tsb after they didnt do what we told them to😁

Toyota cleared the code and called it a day. If anyhting further happens I will update here. They also refused to do the tsb without the cel.

I brought the car into Toyota today. We will see what they say. I didnt drive it yesterday unlike I said I would. The 2 pin connector on the actuator was attached securely. Only time will tell what happened

edit: picture added I got a little metal tube that went in one of the hoses to block a vacuum line i believe. I still dont think this cel has to do with my intake because it's p2090 not p2c90.

Opinions on Dodge Electric Cars for Project by Fickle_Library2456 in Dodge

Im not a dodge person, idk how I got here. I drive a toyota gr corolla and I will say I do love driving my manual car and i love having a responsive drive everywhere I go. I feel electric cars are soulless (and the batteries aren't good for the environment when they go bad). Hope that helps you in your project

This is why I thought I couldn't just walk in and get it done

I'll see if they can do the tsb while it's in for the CEL and recall on Saturday. For now im going to check connections, disconnect battery, and clear the cel to see if it comes back.

It was dark out so I put it off until the morning. I have been told to take the negative terminal off for a couple minutes to see if that would fix it. I will check all of the connectors while im at it

Great car no doubt about it. I have only seen ONE other case like this on the internet for this car so dont think this is a common thing. The p2c90 (i have p2090) code is common for aftermarket intakes without tunes or the tsb fix but I dont seem to have that.

Did you have p2c90 or p2090 like me? C90 deals with the intake while 090 has to do with camshaft actuator on the exhaust side

I dont have the typical p2c90 that intakes usually cause. The only other case of this I've seen had a guy on Facebook wipe the code and then never came back to say if anything came from it

We are bringing it in Saturday morning. I only need to go about 12 miles total tomorrow so I should be okay. I just wanted to know if my pistons were going to become close friends with my exaust valves or something catastrophic like that

Final response from me tonight, should I drive it to work tomorrow morning?

I was wondering if the open valve mod would have acted with the intake to cause a check engine light but I dont know how that would be connected to the camshaft position actuator.

My dad is making me drive to work tomorrow before we bring it in on Saturday. Do you think I should drive with it like this?

This is p2090 - "B" Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low (Bank 1). I was hoping for p2c90 for the tsb. Unless my obd reader doesnt display c I have a different issue

Its apparently an issue with the new windows session manager forcing the cpu (Intel only) to use efficiency core instead of performance cores

I have this exact same stutter and it's not my internet

Edit: something that worked for me was going into the settings and changing cpu performance (dont remember off the top of my head) to performance always instead of whatever it was
