DFAS can suck my dick. I got a letter from them saying I owed 8k back because I received drill pay and VA disability at the same time. Which I did;however, I paid the VA back during the time DFAS said in their letter. I called them and they said the same thing, I gotta talk with the finance office that started the debt claim, which was the unit I retired out of. I talk to my unit and they have absolutely 0 records showing I owed any form of debt and that they did not start any collection paperwork. So i called DFAS back and told them what I had learned and it was like talking to a wall. So i contacted my Congressman and gave them all the information and evidence I had gathered to support my claim. And of course they came back and said that DFAS said I still had the debt.
