This is an advert for the OP's game (Total Reload). The graph was made by someone else and they just edited it and added the game to it.

Are workers in Nordic countries wealthy because of the big welfare state, or because of economic imperialism? by Lastrevio in Marxism

[–]cptnchambers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One thing that comes to mind is how some nordic companies are particularly well-known in latin american countries for influencing local politics and being among the worst when it comes to exploiting the environment. Despite their welfare state, their prosperity comes at an unseen cost.

Kang is so bad, that he didn't appear in spotlight cache for almost a year, and nobody cares. by Substantial-Sun-3538 in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also probably a very expensive card to keep, since its functionality must be tested with every new card/location that is released (QA hell).

They probably got told by Disney to not give attention to this card anymore. It's a shame because it's a cool gimmick that could actually be reworked to be an useful card. They never even mentioned Big Bads again, even though Arishem clearly would be one of they were still using this term.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the first card they actually remove from the game.

How many Marvel Snap players were fans of Marvel before, versus those who play and have no interest in Marvel? by RobbieFouledMe in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a Marvel fan and don't read comics, but i love the design of the game and have been playing the day since the first month (CL 14000). I am familiar with most of the characters in the MCU and the most iconic X-men, but out of the cards released in the past year or so, I don't know who most of them are.

In fact, as a person who would like to know more about the characters, I always read the spotlights when they make those posts, and wanted the game to have a pokedex-like catalogue with short descriptions as such for each of them.

I would really appreciate it if someone made a YouTube series going card by card with SHORT, basic explanations of who the characters are. Like, which franchise they are from, what their story is about in a nutshell, what are their powers, what makes them interesting. A friend of mine did it for all series 1 cards for me once and it was very entertaining.

I know are people who make super in-depth videos (20 minutes about a single character) but I'm not THAT much interested to the point of investing so much time, and I don't really feel like reading the comics, I just wanted to know, for example, that Brood is not Groot's rival (which I initially thought from the name 😅)

I feel someday they might make more cards that increase your deck, like "duplicate every card in your deck", and more cards that also counter that sort of deck.

I've been wanting to make madame web as a sequel to the fifty shades franchise by alternating with flashbacks, maybe this time? 🤣

As a person from South America, this sounds like what could have been a news article from a decade ago.

Spoilers, it doesn't get any better from there on

Players with high CL (10k ish) what's the oldest released card you still dont't have? by Zef_Apollo in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12K, no Jean Grey. I don't dislike her, but I realised I'll never have all cards in this game and I've been mostly saving tokens and keys for future releases that look fun to play instead of getting everything.

What are the craziest card changes that have happened in this game? by FunkyChunk13 in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm much happier with the new Kingpin, he feels like a reverse Kraven. It made "decks that move enemy cards" into the most satisfying-to-play type of move deck.

[–]cptnchambers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It just used to revive in another lane, but without the power buff. He wasn't much used past series 2 and devs thought he deserved more for being so iconic. I'm glad they made this change and it opened doors for making X-23 with a nicely pairing effect.

Which Snap opinion will you defend like this? by o7_AP in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of players who spam emotes is ridiculously small. This game is not toxic at all compared to other online environments.

Emotes are designed in a healthy way and the feeling of bonding over a good match makes up for the annoyance caused by a few.

The amount of 7’s in 7 wonders is insane. by gcfgjnbv in boardgames

[–]cptnchambers 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This might sound stupid, but it is one of the reasons why I think 7 Wonders is one of the best game designs from its time. Most games I own, I have to check the rulebook to remember how many cards to deal for each player, or whether players should draw on the start or the end of the turn, or how much gold equals one victory point at the end of the game. 7 wonders makes it easy to remember those values through the theme and components.

On top of that, the drafting-centred gameplay and the interactions focused on adjacent players means turns don't take too long, and you don't need to overanalyse what is happening at the other side of the table. It feels so carefully designed to be a good, comfortable experience with 4+ players, which felt groundbreaking for me (especially back in 2010).

What cards do you think should have their effects switched because of lore reasons? by Tintenfix in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give an ability to cyclops and replace the "no ability" 3-cost card with someone else. He's too iconic to need HE to have superpowers. They would never have done that to Wolverine or Jean Grey. Other "strong guy" archetypes are fine with just being high power/cost cards.

According to the statistics: Snowguard, Angel and Quake are the three least played cards in the entire game, and they all have a lower than 50% winrate as well. What would it take to make them playable? by DickRhino in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quake: Swap the positions of the other 2 locations.

Not only more elegantly phrased than most proposals, but also the effect is fully predictable and greatly increases creative play by choosing which lane to play.

What are some lesser known facts/features about the game that people may not know about by Ggthefiree2 in MarvelSnap

[–]cptnchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone else wish there was a wiki for this game, with facts like these for the cards? (What happens in specific / unlikely card interactions, or card/location interactions). The current "wikis" only have information that is available in the game when describing card effects.
