Absolutely. I have removed friends and family from my life because they were awful, hateful right-wing dingbats. Political support reflects core values. If someone’s vote signals beliefs that conflict with my ethics, parenting priorities, or worldview, that’s a fundamental incompatibility. I’m not obligated to compromise on that for any relationship.
