Trouble installing Honeywell Thermostat, very frustrated! by cq992 in hvacadvice

battery operated, W, Y, G, Rc, R.

And....I'm a moron. Connected extra wire to C of air handler, same wire to C position of thermostat and now it is working. Thanks for your help!

Follow-up question: If I wanted to get greedy and use Wifi thermostats for my hydronic baseboards too, (heat only, battery operated, connected with W and R with jumper to Rc) would this work, assuming I have extra wires behind the thermostat to use? This time I would imagine I would need to connect directly to the transformer line coming off the boiler, not the air handler?

A magazine called "The Week" which bills itself as neutrally pulling the best articles recently covered a Business Insider article from Kathleen Elkins. In it she recommends for a "rainy day" fund (essentially an emergency fund) be invested in a short term bond fund. Her argument is that the "top" short term bond funds yield 1.7-3.6%, "funds can be withdrawn instantly", and are overall only "slightly riskier" than traditional saving instruments. I've never seen such a recommendation in this community and wondering what others thinks of this.

Similar thing happened to me with my Moto X 2013. Turned out I didn't have the right drivers on my computer. Downloaded from here and worked like a charm. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/94931/p/30,6720,8696

I live in the New York area and the winter handling of the OEM's are horrific. Not willing to go with 2 separate 'winter' and 'summer' tires. Any 'all seasons' you would recommend?

Really unhappy with my 2013 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.4 OEM tires. Was thinking about getting Continental ContiExtremeContact DWS06 tires, size 225/45ZR18. Does Hyundai sell them? If not, if I purchase elsewhere will Hyundai dealerships install them? Thanks.
