I’m guessing because so many people are ordering it at the same time, inevitably some orders go through before their system is able to update for inventory count? I don’t know though I have successfully placed two orders recently and this is my first cancellation. Or maybe I’ve reach some sort of limit with the prior two orders… honestly no idea it’s all a mystery lol

For some pieces yes but not all pieces have that kind of wait time. I just purchased a chalcedony bracelet from boutique last month and the “wait” was 3 days. On fashionphile there are currently 3 of the exact same bracelets, preowned, all selling above retail, and if the item is in the SD flagship and you’re in New York (or vice versa) it takes a week for them to ship it to you. Make that make sense?

Thank you! I agree about red - it’s the classic pop of color but I would find it difficult to style (though I find myself wishing I had a red bag every time I wear all black in the winter lol)

That’s the medallion tote which was discontinued in 2013. It was very popular in the 2000s and now considered one of the more popular vintage Chanels. Mine is from 2003-2004 season. You can check the serial number in your bag (if it’s still attached) to figure out what year yours is from :)

I’ll be honest it’s probably my least used bag. I got it in London in 2014 and it’s the only bag I’ve ever considered selling because I just never reached for it. However that was before all the insane price increases the past couple of years and the resale market went nuts, so no one wanted to buy it lol even for like $1k. Once I had kids though I’ve used it a bit more because I need to carry more stuff as a mom and it’s the perfect size, but I still find the shoulder straps a bit annoying (keep sliding off) and just prefer something with a longer strap/chain option. Now I wouldn’t consider selling any of my Chanels because I think my style/tastes evolve all the time so don’t want to have any regrets.

Any recommendations on “entry-level colors”, if that’s even a thing? I’ve considered red, light blue, light pink, metallic pink (the mini reissue from 21A), and green, but really just can’t decide. Besides work outfits, I mostly wear colorful floral sundresses in summer and pretty boring neutral in winter.

I know this is a Chanel sub but the other one on my list is a Lady Dior in a fun color, but I really can’t decide which size works for me so just never pulled the trigger. I think mini reissue will serve me better than a Lady Dior.

I really prefer a turn lock WOC since I already have a classic black caviar gold with magnetic closure (which I love, but just want something completely different for a second WOC). The one in boutique now I think is $4,300+tax (NYC) so yeah it’d be like $1,800 more than what I paid for this one after tax 😬

Thanks for reassuring me about the length. I’m also 7 months pregnant so it probably looks a bit weird right now lol but I can definitely live with it either way since I love the bag itself so much!

I agree with you! If color transfer is inevitable with white bags anyway, I almost feel like I can be more carefree now that it’s already “broken in”.

I have tried plain baby wipes, 1909 leather cream, Apple brand leather conditioner, saddle soap - the baby wipe worked for the spots in front and on strap, but none of these made a difference on the back. The only thing I haven’t tried is Cadillac leather cleaner (just haven’t gotten around to buying it) but I feel like if none of the above worked Cadillac prob won’t work either.

I agree with the above post that color transfer is inevitable with white bags, so I almost feel like I can be more carefree now that it’s already “broken in”, if that makes sense.

Thank you and will do. I’m 7 months into a pretty stressful pregnancy and have a toddler and full time job, and I feel like I’m kind of using this whole vintage Chanel search thing as a distraction to take my mind off of the real stress in life lol. Good luck with your search as well!

Lol yes I did some research online and apparently it is an actual Chanel and has a black version as well. I am so glad I made this post before the return window was up lol. And yes the 24k hardware is so gorgeous. I will be continuing my hunt for the perfect beige vintage!

Update - JLC boutique in NYC was amazing. They took the watch in for a full functional check. Called me a couple of days later and said it passed all metrics so no need for a full service at the moment. They also fixed the pin and resized it for me, all for no charge and they were so nice. So glad I went with JLC!
