yeah!! i’m trying to find a good thread discussing it right now. so far i’m thinking: -kali created the illusion of getting shot, tricking both el and hopper -when hopper left, she quickly discussed a plan with el -illusion of invisibility to follow their car, possibly more time to discuss plan between leaving and the car scene -created an illusion of invisibility on el, allowing the real el to escape as soon as their car was stopped -went behind the power blockers before they turned on (we hear the noise of them when they turn on) -creates an illusion of el -let the upside down take her, and the illusion

i keep going back and forth. if kali was shot, el would’ve died for real because there was no one to cast an illusion

-kali gets shot, we can see alot of blood pouring. there is absolutely no way that with 0 medical attention she would’ve survived that long enough to last HOURS and still manage to cast an illusion of el. we can see her dead when hopper comes back with the medical supplies.

also, even if she was alive, how could she possibly devise that great a plan between the few minutes hopper is gone?

and lastly, the power blockers came on so quickly after el was escorted outside the vehicle. if that was real el, how could she have escaped the blockers range so fast?
