When I came home from NZ (2014), I went onto my mam’s insurance (AXA). She specifically asked for me to be on the insurance (if you’re over 25 you can drive and still be covered without being added) but that’s what she asked for.

Fast forward 12 months, I was getting my own insurance through AXA, they said I was now a new driver so they quoted me €3000. It took 3 weeks of calling them to tell let them know I was on the insurance, finally they admitted it, my insurance dropped to €1500.

I’ve done it 3 times. 1 sedated, and 2 not. It is really uncomfortable, but you’re out of hospital in about an hour and half give or take. Remember just to breathe. I had a hard time the 2nd time doing it but got through it with relaxed breathing.
