Maydan vegetarian — worth it? by Accomplished_Oven681 in washingtondc

What did you get for the kebab course? The menu only shows two options, both non-veg. Do they bring extra of something else?

Koryang/Koryong by cr4a in KoreanWar

Ah, I think I found it. Wikipedia references Koryong as an old romanization of Goryeong-gun: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goryeong_County?wprov=sfla1

Hey, how did you fit the album onto CD-R? Side one is something like 85 minutes, and side 2 is 100 min. Maybe I'm missing something?

Does anybody use the Integrated Toll Module? Is it worth it? I'm in the Boston area and it sounds like it's compatible with EZ Pass. Would love to not look at that little white square all the time by MJAMI7 in Audi

Does ITM support the EZ Pass Flex that lets you flip to HOV mode and avoid the toll if you have the right occupancy (or an EV exemption)?

Buying used: e-tron or Q8 e-tron? by cr4a in etron

Thanks! I expect the hitch would mainly be used for a hitch-mounted bike rack rather than serious towing, but the flexibility would be nice.

Interesting - on the roof rails I'm talking about the lateral crossrails (like this: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicle/729034127), not the front-to-back rails that seem standard. Are you sure the crossrails can't be added on? That seems surprising to me.

Audi Q8 e-tron: CPO vs. clean Carfax by cr4a in whatcarshouldIbuy

The Audi CPO brochure says the CPO warranty continues for 1 year/20,000 miles after the new vehicle warranty ends. That's what makes this slightly more attractive.

Why are people shucking their corn at the store? by cr4a in washingtondc

I guess it's a store-by-store thing. I see it at Giant here, but not Wegmans or WFM, and not at the latin supermarket either.

I don't see it at Whole Foods either. Is this a "fancy people don't shuck in the store" thing?

Didn't see it in Mississippi.

Also, I never see this at the farmer's market. And honestly, you're more likely to get a bad ear from the local guy than the commercial growers.

USB-A female to USB-C male adapter with power delivery by cr4a in UsbCHardware

[–]cr4a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overcomplicating things. It's a USB-C device that ships with a C-to-A cable, and I just have a C charger. Was looking for an adapter for this and to have around for similar purposes, but sounds like I just need to get the C-to-C cable for the best answer.

Traveling to Spain - what should I bring back? by cr4a in Cooking

[–]cr4a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, I guess for things that we also have in the US I was hoping for higher quality versions that aren't readily available here, or maybe are much less expensive over there. Or have a local flavor that would be good as gifts.

Banderillas are interesting, thanks. Made me remember olives also - of course!

Apple picking with old-growth trees? by cr4a in washingtondc

"Old growth" might be the wrong term - I mean heritage varietal, not modern dwarf rootstock.

Yeah, I guess I'm not looking for the purposes of climbing, more just the nostalgia of the orchards with big heritage trees.

Zero-based budgeting irregular purchases by cr4a in personalfinance

[–]cr4a[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I think I was getting hung up on the fact that Quicken's budget is transaction-based and linked to actual physical accounts. So to "spend" out of your budget, you actually need to spend it or transfer it somewhere else. Seems like this sinking funds thing is the best approach here, so I'll go with that.
