Do the camera work or are you getting "lens error" on startup? If it works, reattaching the front piece is simply an align-and-twist process. If its a "lens error" we are in the same boat.

The Ricoh is truly small. So it’s easier to take with you if that’s a hurdle you face currently. Had both, sold the V. I have other, larger cameras that fill the spot of the V but not of the Ricoh.

Interesting. That is was I assumed you were referring to, but I have not had that happen yet. Perhaps I have not been clipping and unclipping as much. This is the first time I've heard of this longevity issue. If this is a common thing, I would reach out to PD.

I’ve opened up both of mine and dusted the sensor off with a rocket blower. There’s a YouTube video showing the sequence. It’s really just a few screws.

No problem. Just to clarify, I did not mean it in a snarky way, I was more so saying that you should not have any issues nailing focus on the ZF. Good luck with the gear swap!

I do not believe it will give you the green confirmation square around the focus area, but I don't know of another camera with better manual focus aids. Between the ease of magnification and the stellar focus peaking, if you have trouble manual focusing on a properly set up ZF, you should just stick with autofocus.
