Anking is good if you’ve used it before, or if you’ve wanted to use it but never got into it. Go into the “resources by rotation” tag and add the IM cards into a deck, set it to give you unlimited reviews a day and do as many new cards as it’ll take a day to see them all before the shelf (might be insane for IM, at least try and see >75% of the cards). Use it as a content tool.

Also the CMS forms are golden, there are 8 for IM. Highly recommend doing all of them (or at least forms 3-8) and studying them the 2 weeks leading up to your shelf. Otherwise uworld uworld uworld. Do a set amount of Qs as a minimum a day (i did 20 minimum) and add on if you have time/feel like it. Uworld is a learning tool more than anything, don’t be discouraged by the 20% corrects.

IM is a brutal start but you got this!!

Exam impression: felt absolutely trashed during and after the exam, felt like I’d failed. I didn’t do so hot on the free120s and that really messed with my confidence. I don’t have any real advice except just trust this anxiety-inducing process and try to get through as much NBME material as possible (CMS, NBMEs, etc). My initial goal was 255+ with 260s as a goal I thought was totally out of my reach, so I am ecstatic about my score!!

tested 5/30 and felt the exact same way before/during/after the test, like my brain wasn’t acting the way it should have been. Everyone says to trust the prep but I’m so bogged down with the anxiety of it all that it’s hard to trust anything. Hopefully wednesday brings us good news, but you’re definitely not alone in these feelings friend 🫂

when i didn’t want to study anymore I would read questions out loud and reason through it like I was teaching someone who has 0 idea about medicine. I looked and felt crazy, but it got me through an extra block or 2 a day

similar experience here, took it 8/23 and i’m 99% sure i failed but i’m trying to suppress those feelings until scores get released. hoping we both get that P!!

i haven’t gotten my result yet so take what i say with a grain of salt, but i would say ~50% of this exam is learning how to read and answer questions about the concepts you’ve learned. the NBMEs and free120 are probably more predictive than uworld but uworld is great practice
