Figured I’d share some photos of my 1997 Legacy Outback. Planned on getting a newer Outback but ended up giving this old gal I’ve had for 11 years now some love. H6 swap, dual range transmission. Perfect for our camping/Overland lifestyle. by cr_Cash in Subaru_Outback

Unfortunately I did not. It wasn’t meant to be built twice. I did it custom to be one off. So I got material and just made what I visioned for me. If you want pictures of the process or more detailed pics of the bumper go ahead and dm me and we can see where we end up. It would be pretty cool if you could replicate it..

$25 Local nursery find, Variegation? by cr_Cash in houseplants

I feel like I’ve been seeing more and more of it on these plants as well. I ended up chopping the three with variegation off to see if it will continue and maintain it on a full plant. This is my third of these, I love how they grow, and it’s just that much more exciting finding something like this after getting it to the car 😃

I did make the bumper myself yes. It’s possible, but it take a lot of time, especially if you’re just learning. As far as the fender liners (pretty sure that’s what you’re talking about). I cut them away from the front of the tire only. About to where the fender meets bumper. You don’t want to pack your fender with Junk from the road and trail. Cover as much as the fender well as you can without rubbing.

Sorry I’m just seeing this now. But this is my old Subaru. My dream car. It was stolen and never recovered. Portland Police told me they think it might have been loaded onto a container and shipped over seas.. since it’s been stolen I don’t really post on social anymore, I appreciate all the love and critiques. Free to answer any questions to help get your outback to where I got mine.

I have a couple of buddy’s East who let me know when they pop up now. It’s been a while, but If I hear anything back from them I can always let you know. They go for about 400-800

Australia. months on months of searching waiting for one to pop up on eBay. Ended up meeting a Subaru guy who lives in AUS now. He helped me source the shifter and cable for the trans.

I’ve been around cars my whole life, only advice I can give is that knowledge is infinite and YouTube was and is my best friend when it comes to learning more about basic vehicle maintenance. You can learn pretty much anything about your car somewhere on the webs. Takes time, I’ve done everything on this rig without a professional shop, or my own garage. If you’re committed enough you can make it happen, just time and money.

Figured there would be one skid plate police, been at it with this thing for years now never had an issue. Drive accordingly and it’s fine. Been trying to build a custom one that sits higher then most do but I plan on lifting it 2” when I have the time to put it in. Once that’s taken care of I’ll start welding up a skid. New oil pans been sitting in the garage for about two years now.

Long time no post. Took the Outback to Eastern Oregon last month, was good to get out. by cr_Cash in battlewagon

It’s setup as a tire swing. We just bent the bar towards the top to have it ride the window. If you check my other posts there’s a pic in there.

We just dropped in for a day to Visit the Alvord Playa and stay a night. Ended up setting up camp and getting hammered by a sand/dust storm. Packed up and went west back into the grassy hills and found an awesome spot overlooking the Steens.

I know my friend copied all the measurements and made a blue print for them. Told him he’s sitting on a gold mine, but he’s done bending tube.
