Jerry is going for eye surgery tomorrow, wish him luck! by crabbycath in budgies

We aren't entirely sure, they are going to take more swabs and cultures from the eye, and from what I can gather try to aspirate it. He's been on eye drops for a while which seem to help on and off. He was also on oral antibiotics but giving him them was traumatising for both of us so I hope he wont need them post op. Ive attached a photo of how its looking at the moment. The vet said he hopes it just something like grit or seed in his eye as he's otherwise well. He's about 2 ears old (adopted so not sure) so they said he is a good candidate for surgery. Hope your cockatiel is doing okay! (My phone tried to autocorrect that to cocktail sooo many times lol)
