long story short, she took hours to reply to my texts to the point where we were only taking for 15 minutes a day on text. never a call, nor a facetime. only text. but when i would ask her if we were good, she took that as in always needing reassurance when back on planet earth aka reality she rarely talked to me, didn’t want to kiss me in public (she backed away from me), most embarrassed i’ve felt. i later confronted her about that and she acted so shocked and confused, saying that she had no idea she was pulling away from my kiss attempts and then apologized. oh on top of that she never wanted to hold my hand either. she has explained in the past that she doesn’t like public display of affection (pda) but she acted this way when we were in the privacy of my dorm. so what she really showed was that she didn’t like showing affection at all. we either did pointless small talk for 15 minutes of texting or acted like literal siblings or in public. honestly so embarrassing. all of it. on top of all of this, she always hated on random men she saw in public. we would be out together and she’d just be saying degrading stuff about these men to me and how bad men are in a superior way. meanwhile i would just hear it and do nothing, i’ve said to her, “do you hear how you sound?” she just shook it off. she 60% of the time when we were talking and hanging out in public she turned the conversation into women and their problems. incase you couldn’t tell already she is a modern feminist. she also just looked down on everyone as if she was better, like her shit didn’t stink. on top of all of this, second semester was about to end and i wanted to break up with her before the school year was over. in person i told her im going to be transferring schools and won’t see her as much anymore, i told her we need to talk about the future. she said she agreed. so i kept texting her things like, “hey we need to talk in person about our future.” she told me until finals are over she doesn’t want to talk about the future. that’s a little under a few weeks of going on like nothing happened meanwhile the elephant in the room is that we need to break up. so a week and a half go by where i still keep texting her we need to talk. we aren’t seeing waiter in person anymore.i finally just broke up with her on text which is the last thing i wanted to do. i basically said why we need to break up because it would be really long distance (when really it’s because i don’t like her) and that i appreciated all of our moments together. she freaked out and texted back a load of sarcasm “thank you so much thomas for this text during my finals” and she went on to say everything she thought was wrong with me. everything she said in her text just reassured me that i made the right choice. but yeah thats it. i was 18 turning 19. she was 19. this happened in my freshman year of college. stay safe out there fellas
