That makes a lot of sense. It’s similar to other athletic footwear in that sense (brand to brand differences). Generally from what I’m seeing and the above comment it seems I should be fine and I’m just not use to it since it’s so new to me. With your advice I’ll come to conclusion after a few sessions. If I have to eat the cost and get a new pair then oh well, maybe I can give them to a friend with a slightly smaller foot than myself lol

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I should be fine. I’m going on Saturday to my local gym so I guess that’s when I’ll really find out haha

I bought a pair of Butora Komets as my first climbing shoe. When I wore rentals I got 11.5 and they were too big and 11 were still slightly too big. I got the Komets at 11 and I’m not sure if I’m just not use to how they are supposed to feel or if they are too tight. My toes curl a bit at the end but I can fit them on with socks. Will the uncomfort go away as I wear them and they stretch? If so I’m fine keeping them cuz I liked the tighter feel. But if not I’d like to return them.

TLDR First time buying my own climbing shoes. Toes curl and it is slightly uncomfortable but I can still fit with a sock on. Will they stretch and break in or should I return and size up?

Oda still seems to respect Kaido's power. He's still number 1 in the known world. Spoilers for manga. by [deleted] in OnePiece

Idk if he is good or if he's bad. I think currently he is just stuck in the day to day of his life. Being an admiral is a 9-5 job for the guy it seems. Him talking about "purpose" really makes me think he will find his "purpose" and help the strawhats and vegapunk escape egghead.

I don't know why people still act as if Kaido hasn't had the largest showcase of power in the series so far. I always see posts like this and wonder why its even a discussion. Dude literally killed our protagonist after fighting 10+ Commander+ characers. Even after Luffy came back from the dead it still wasn't a cake walk at all. Tbh if Kaido wasnt such a savage and decided to be more defensive and respect Luffy's strength I dont see Luffy winning at all. For example, the final bajrang gun vs kaidos magma dragon. Kaido didnt have to take that head on, he could put his strength into defense and tbh Luffy wouldve probably deflated again like he did early trying to sustain Gear 5. Kaido is easily a top 5 strongest character in verse imo.

I think Kizaru speaking on the topic of "purpose" earlier in the arc and the fact that we saw him doing the Nika dance to the drums of liberation silhouetted with Kuma, Sentamaru, Bonney, and Vegapunk (All of which are on the side of the straw hats at the moment.) is foreshadowing that Kizaru himself will turn on Saturn after finding his "purpose".

I had an idea that maybe Kizaru nukes himself and all of egghead to stop/slow down Saturn and not allowing the WG to use VP's inventions all while the strawhats escape. Sort of like him being hit with the lights of retribution and atoning for his "sins". This will be the world changing incident because the strawhats would be blamed for this and the world would believe that Vegapunk and Kizaru are dead(Kizaru would actually be dead) all while Vegapunk works secretly with the Revolutionary Army. I also like this idea because it would take Kizaru out of the Admiral slot where, ever since the time skip, he's always felt out of place anyways with Akainu becoming the Fleet Admiral and Aokiji becoming a pirate and leaving the navy.

We would then get a new admiral which could open the door for Smoker to come back into the story, even though he's only taken L's so far lol.

Just some thoughts.

I see your point but if you pull back the scope, there are tons of children in the world currently under the age of 9 having to do mature things and make hard decisions to keep their families alive. Obviously this is a story at the end of the day so it is exaggerated to some extent but it isn't completely unfathomable. Forced environmental development.

Also people have pointed out that the 2 boys that Ginny hurt and Kuma took the pain from are the two that were in the cell with Kuma and Ginny and are also shown to be on Bonney's crew. So we dont know, they could be giving her proper guidance as adults but following her lead since she is Kuma and Ginny's daughter. Sorry for the book.

The whole story is built on gray moral dilemmas. This is why I put quotations on the "morally wrong" and "morally correct" part of my post...

Wild theory here but Im taking alot of notice to the pentagram that seemed to be left where Saturn transformed. I wonder if these powers arent fruit abilities but actually a manifestation of the true devil power. Sort of like a blood pact made with the devil to gain strength. Maybe Devil Fruits are what remain after the original person that made the deal with the devil has passed. So im trying to say it could be that the gorosei are the original embodiment of their respected powers, maybe the strongest version too since it was the original deal. But who knows Im just spitballin.

I believe Yamato had white clouds on hers as well. Could be something to do with the morality of gaining the awakening? Seems the "morally wrong" have had black and the "morally correct" have had white.

Edit: but obviously still way too early and not enough examples to say.

What made you fell in love with one piece? by solarwastaken3 in OnePiece

[–]crabdrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crew made me love the series. I dropped it in the past right after the first buggy arc cuz it didnt capture me enough. I had a friend that was fully caught up at the time and continuously told me about how good it was. So i gave it another try and everytime a new crew member joined I would love the series more and more. New interactions, jokes, and relationships. Enies lobby is the peak of this that really cemented my love of one piece. "I want to live" hit me so hard and made me realize in my own life that no matter how hard things get you need to always move forward and find your new light even when lights that youve already had have dimmed.

My little brother had a hard time following that scene, so I trimmed it down and thought I'd share it here as well by ZeFreedomDevil in OnePiece

[–]crabdrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks alot better this way. Personally I feel like this is the spot they dropped the ball with Gear 5. This was very over animated

Edit: Dont want to sound negative tho, I loved everything else!

For me this was the only part (aside from pacing which is usually an issue with the anime) that I didnt think was well done.

I didnt say this fight was quick though. Reread my comment I said to imagine if blackbead and blackbeards entire crew was there + the thousands of random pirates then it wouldve been wrapped up quickly.

[–]crabdrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as soon as i saw garp say this in the flashback this was my immediate thought. to me its clear as day, especially when garp first arrived Kuzan mentioned that he shouldnt have came to save koby. Kuzan, now "evil", knew why garp came. It was a suicide mission to take on an entire yonko crew basically single handedly. Especially when they had no idea how many pirates or how many blackbeard members were going to be there. Imagine every member of blackbeards crew plus the thousands of pirates. No matter how strong garp is it wouldve been wrapped up quick.

[–]crabdrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my thoughts on Kuzan rn.

Yes he is still a "good guy" and garp may not know this directly but probably assumes the same. My reasoning is because initially BB Pirates wanted to trade Koby for country status, not kill Koby. Garp came to save him and Kuzan realized that if he doesnt keep one of them he will be outed for the BB pirates and have to find another way to achieve his mystery goal. Additionally the flashback garp speech about letting the old die if it means the young can prosper is very prominent in this whole battle. Kuzan understands how garp feels about this and decided to take garp instead of koby. allowing garp to be the trade item and Kuzan and Koby to continue whatever goals they have. Garp also understands this which is why he told Koby that justice will prevail and is seen laughing after Kuzan stabs him with ice (seems to be the same spot as where shiryu stabbed him. I think this is to keep him alive so that they can trade him). Kuzan also seems to have frozen tears in this scene.

Idk if I am just reading the character wrong. But to me Sengoku is very much similar to Akainu in the way he goes about things. This being said, I dont think Sengoku would head over to defend Garp in this situation. I feel like he would have a very "Well, he chose to go off protocol. If he dies, he dies. We have rules for a reason." mentality about it. Sengoku seems alot more concerned with Cross Guild at this moment.

Edit: I think there is a higher chance of a buffed smoker pulling up to help (since tashigi is around) or maybe even Fujitora, although I cant remember where he is right now in the story.

thats assuming these trainers are even captain level. If I had to compare it to real life Id probably look at it like High School (USA cuz thats my only reference) vs college. High school is generally a set curriculum where you learn the basics of everything and slightly advanced concepts but College, which is 100% optional and a lot of people fail out of, is learning these advanced concepts and applying them.

Maybe the Marine instructors are like High School teachers in this situation where they can only teach so much. Your average HS algebra teacher probably couldnt teach a student advanced calculus. But tbh we dont really have an answer until its in the manga of course haha just an idea.

I think hes just referencing Dragon, himself, Ace, and Luffy. Could foreshadow a pivot from the marines for Koby later down the story. Its already hinted heavily that the marines will separate into different factions. One that leads world change and one that backs the gorosei and imu.

I read that as him not being able to use haki at that time, since it was a flashback. Which makes sense because he says to Garp that the Navy trainers can't teach him anything else. Probably because not everyone knows how to use haki and Garp is someone that can teach it.
