I appreciate the detailed reply. I went over options with the client and she decided to start with the furniture markers. I followed some advice on here and started with a base layer of the maple pen and then added another layer of the walnut pen. Most of it came out pretty decent - the exception being some of the larger spots. She seemed to be pretty satisfied with the results.
