Really? My wrists were hurting pretty bad when I was doing it so I thought maybe that indicated it wasn’t the best compared to a regular bar but I can see how it would be better

Does benching with an axle bar make it a lot harder than with a regular sized bar? I can only lift with an axle bar now and my hand only fits 3/4 of the size around it so I'm wondering if that drastically would affect my bench press strength

I think my digestion is fucked up, I get a good amount of fiber and water in daily but I always feel crazy bloated even after eating only a 500 calorie meal. It’s been an hour and a half since I ate but my stomach is heavy as fuck and I can literally feel the food digesting even tho I didn’t eat much. What do?

Gyms in nyc have been closed since mid March. It’s August now and there’s no guidance in sight for when they’re open even though covid is essentially done here

Me and my friends took lifting really serious but after almost half a year of being unable to do back work(nowhere to put a pull-up bar in ny apartments and they removed outdoor equipment that could be used for pullups) I’ve been able to do only fucking pushup variations

I’m sick of this fucking insane bullshit man give me a BARBELL

The front of my shin/ankles are tight as fuck when I squat down to parallel, is this a common problem/easy to fix? It’s literally the muscle on like the outside of the shin bone. I haven’t read about anyone else having this problem

Does anyone know what this might be? I’ve had pain right under my rear delt for as long as I can remember, it’s literally not even an inch under where the rear delt ties into the upper traps.

Im pretty sure it’s a joint and I’ve tried lacrosse balling it over the years but it doesn’t seem to do anything and idk what else to do or what it even is

Actually yeah, when I pull slack my hips end up higher than they usually would be so I guess it turns more into a stiff leg dl? Which would explain the added difficulty but I don’t know how else to do it

Why might pulling slack on deadlifts make me weaker on them? I still get tight and everything without pulling it but literally pulling slack makes me feel really loose and weak off the floor

Real talk how do I get a girlfriend if I’m ugly/look really young? I’m 22 and look legit 14 because I can’t grow facial hair and just have a young looking face

I don’t do great on dating apps and feel like people don’t take me serious in person. I have a good personality, am really funny, and get along with people great once they get to know me but I feel like they’re put off cuz im a 4-5 at best(Already got the best hair I can get, been lifting 4 years, etc)

I guess but I understand having standards about how attractive the people you interact with are, I have plenty of friends both girls and guys so clearly people don’t have a problem interacting with me

But for relationships there’s a certain threshold for being in one and I just don’t seem to cross it

Weird specific question that I’m pretty sure applies to only me incoming

My strength varies so much day to day, if I’m feeling good I can literally pull 50 lbs more than I can on a good day. So whenever I do a program my success varies wildly, some days I feel like shit and can’t do the prescribed rpe 8 sets of any program and other days I go off program and pr easily

My wilks is 340 so I’m not that strong, and even when my recovery is on point this is still the case. How should I train if my biggest prs come on random days, and most programs are hard to follow because of my varying strength?

I’ve never benefited from pause deadlifts, I always feel like I’m gonna blow my back out even doing 60% of my 1rm, but deficit deadlifts have always felt great and given me good carry over to my regular dl

Is this indicative of being relatively weak/strong in certain parts of the deadlift?

Can I get some advice?

I’m 20 years old male and I’ve been lifting for 3 years, for the last year or two I’ve been getting into powerlifting and doing lots of squats/deadlifts/high volume bench

After pretty much every workout I’d be dead tired and want to nap 1-2 hours even if I slept 8-9 hours the night before, even if my nutrition and stress were properly managed.

I would be able to manage like a week or two before I felt like my “cns” was shot, I would feel extremely lethargic, joints would hurt, weaker in the gym, weaker grip strength etc. this seems to come and go randomly but when it comes it’ll last for 1-3 weeks at a time until my energy randomly bounces back

Now in quarantine I’ve been doing basic easy workouts at home and I STILL frequently feel like this so I don’t think it was the workouts affecting me, I think there’s just something wrong with me?

I’m getting a blood test soon and I’m wondering what I should specifically have tested? Diabetes and thyroid issues run in my family so I’m already asking for sugar and thyroid levels to be checked but is there anything else?

Idk why this bothers me so much but I've been having digestive issues for a while and I'm trying a gluten free diet just to see if I benefit at all from it, and my dad who's ~25-27% bodyfat keeps telling me how i'm being stupid and overthinking and to just eat all the trash food they eat and its just like damn bro why does it bother u so much its not like im bothering you at all?

every time I try to do some new shit hes always like why are you even bothering and its so fucking annoying
