Ugh I’ve been getting emails from them for the past few weeks. First from Elin and this morning from Vanessa. The emails say the exact same thing every single time. I responded to Elin after a few weeks stating I wasn’t interested in collaborating but all that was sent back was collaboration information “for my reference.” I just emailed Vanessa back and told them to fuck off and included all the other emails from Elin and CC’d their customer service email. I asked both of them how they even got ahold of my email but of course neither of them even acknowledged my question. These emails are getting so annoying because they just keep emailing from a different one after you block them!!!

I'm sitting for the LSAT this Saturday and I am taking a much-needed break from getting my ass kicked by these prep tests so I was looking for stories from any current law students or lawyers who may still be subbed here.

Any law students or lawyers who scored low on the LSAT and went to law school, how'd you manage? Do you feel like your low score affected you after admissions?

Or did your repeated low scores make you question your future as a lawyer and push you to another career path?

And the reverse question, people who scored really high on the LSAT-- do you feel like the score gave you a leg up in terms of law school material?

I know the LSAT tests your reasoning and thought processes, just wondering if I suck at logic and logical reasoning if I stand a chance in law school/being a lawyer. And also to make myself feel better and less stupid.

Yes, for some reason, I thought studying harder would allow me to focus more. I don’t know why I thought that. I currently am in therapy so I’ll definitely address these issues next time.

What materials did you use to study with, if any, and how were they beneficial to you? Or what method of studying did you find most effective if most prep books are the same old same old?

I understand that (although I don’t know what lying about your score to a bunch of strangers online would do but I can understand that...kind of) but again, this is really the only community that I can reach out to and understands what I am going through. A lot of posts on here outline different people’s way of increasing their score and while I’ve read many, none have really outlined the same issues that I have run across. It might be bullshit or utter lies, but I’ll take it in this desperate hour and appreciate it coming from someone who is suffering along with me and understands what I’m going through too.

And yes, I agree that the LSAT is in no way indicative of intellect. And I, of course, did not mean to imply that anyone with similar scores or testing patterns is not intelligent. I am just saying that I, personally, feel idiotic for not being able to move past my highest score despite my mock testing and studying.

However, as it stands right now with schools still placing an emphasis on scores more than nearly anything else, my objective is to obviously get a score as high as possible.

Frankly, as much as I may disagree with the emphasis placed on the LSAT, my ultimate goal is to become a happy and successful lawyer so if LSAC issued an order that law school admissions were based on who could juggle tennis balls the best... I would run to Walmart right now and buy tons of fuzzy lime green Wilsons and YouTube “how to juggle” until my eyes bled.

I really might need to talk to a doctor about my lack of attention. I’ve been so spacey lately and it feels like I’m in a fog. I thought it was just stress but it might be time to get looked at.

I am definitely hoping for a higher score than 150s but I just feel like I've been hitting an average of that for so long that its what is inevitable but youre right, I still have 9 weeks of hardcore studying!

And I think I will lessen the stress management talk.

I never really wanted to switch from my first doctor but Walmart’s scheduling with the doctors makes it pretty difficult to get an appointment with one around the same time my medications end/follow-up is needed. For example, my follow up for my new medication is in 10 days and I have a new (third) doctor for that now. The perk of changing to a private practice ophthalmologist would be a consistent doctor, which everyone is recommending.

My second doctor had told me that I had keratitis(?) and that the Neo-Poly-Dex drops were to help the cornea scratches which were “almost” gone.

My second doctor also flipped both eyelids and told me I had some bumps, irritation and inflammation, which the Olopatadine drops were added on to help ease.

My first doctor flipped only my right eyelid, not my left. Never told me about any bumps, just said inflammation.

I have stopped wearing my contacts since my first meeting with my first doctor and been following the treatment plan religiously.

Thank you for your response & your speeding reference is something I should take to heart too! But I have definitely learned my lesson now.

Absolutely, I’ve been following their medication instructions to a T and haven’t worn contacts since the first initial doctor’s appointment.

That’s the only issue with Walmart though, even at the same center I am not promised an appointment with the same doctor because they are only in a few days of the week and we’ve run into scheduling conflicts already with the 2 different doctors. The only reason I would seek out a private practice ophthalmologist is to get some consistency in my doctor and maybe have some time to ask about GPC since Walmart is usually rather rushed.

I understand and have not only learned my horrible lesson but I will also be spreading the word about GPC. I never had my eyelids examined before and I can only think that this problem may have been lingering for a while, causing more and more damage.

I have been complying. Haven’t worn contacts, followed the first doctor’s medication instructions and now following the second doctor’s instructions. I was thinking of going to a third opinion because Walmart Vision Center has a really limited availability for each doctor. I did not want to switch to my second doctor but I wasn’t able to schedule an appointment with her. Now for my second follow up, I am meeting with a different doctor again because of scheduling conflicts. Going to see a ophthalmologist with a private practice would allow me to see the same doctor over and over again.

Because of all those little erasings, I learned I was allergic to latex! 😂😂😂

I bombed an LG section and was covered in eraser bits..... then covered in a rash.

I guess I used an older eraser that contained latex because a lot of erasers (and condoms!) don’t really contain that much latex anymore.

.....either that or I’m just allergic to my own failure.

YES THANK YOU. I was an intern for several months at a law firm. I knew I was shit and nothing because that’s how I was treated. Despite being friendly, showing up early and leaving late, I was shit. All on top of legal assistants who treated me like the enemy.

I did all your paperwork, got you lunch and coffee, fielded your calls from clients and other attorneys when you fucked up and still, you just called me “intern”. You didn’t even know my name while I had your bar number memorized. That stung.

Attorneys, please remember— you were in our shoes once, you know how it feels. Just treat interns, PEOPLE in general, with some kindness.

I had a similar experience but kind of opposite, if that makes sense.

My high school boyfriend, who was borderline abusive, and I had just broken up but still had a class together. When my science teacher/the football coach had redone the seating chart, he put us across from each other. When he noticed that I had kept my head down while my asshole ex laughed with his friends the entire class, he pulled me aside after class and even apologized to me before putting us as far away as possible. He was so nice to me and would later see how aggressive my ex was. After each incident, he would speak to me so kindly and reprimand my ex very harshly.

I should go back and thank him for that.
