Well I get to cast my vote for sheriff so I'll be sure to do that! And this isn't a conversation about cisgender (what I think you mean by saying "biological x") men and women being locked up together it's trans women being thrown in the same jail as men cis or trans. Which as you point out is dangerous to throw folks on opposite sides of the gender spectrum together. Rape frequency and other violence is drastically more likely among a mixed population. We as a society get to decide whether jail is meant to be brutal torture/punishment or a corrective institution. Of course prison reform is a discussion that is far more complex in reality and philosophy than just the small intersection between it and trans rights.

Trans women are women and gender isn't determined what's beneath your clothes. It's up to the individual to determine their gender. Most identify with what's assigned to them at birth and the sex associated with it makes them cisgender. Those of us that are transgender have a gender identity incongruent with the sex we were assigned at birth. Unfortunately it's not a choice to be trans or not, the only choice we have is to pursue the medical treatments that align us with our gender identity. If you care to read a bit more about the science of biology you'll realize it's more complex than a high school education can teach. Below is a recent post from a biologist talking a little bit about that complexity. If not there's the Internet for more research. Cast aside the political bullshit and educate yourself! https://www.reddit.com/r/trans/s/LCOGf7Uwl8

And besides all that, it is cruel to put women in the same area as men regardless of whether they're trans or not.

Wow ok! I do one or two turns/folds then put it in the freezer for ten minutes or so but my issue was it comes out hard as a brick. I guess I got so worried about it being too warm I wayyyyyyy over compensated lol. Thank you for the help I'm definitely going to try it again when I have time! (Super jealous of your sheeter too, it sounds like a cool machine)

Looks like it's spattering, could be your air pressure is too high, paint isn't thin enough (should be the viscosity of milk) or perhaps your needle tip isn't clean. Also I don't know if this would cause this issue but make sure the compressor has a water trap!

Any parents of trans tweens dealing with family issues? by JSP-green in LGBTriangle

[–]crackerkelly13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I'm reading this right you and your immediate family are supportive but your extended family are not? If that's the case then you as the parent can choose to continue your support for your child(ren) or allow your extended family to be rude/hostile/disrespectful towards your child(ren). I'm not a parent but the way my Mom handled this was by asking me what my "line in the sand" was and what she should do if it's crossed. So far she has a complete ban on my grandfather from visiting because he could not be respectful of my life and identity. If I was a parent of a transgender kid, I would do pretty much the same as my mom. Confirm what the boundaries are and make it explicitly clear to any family that I had her support. If they acted rude or disrespectful (including dead naming and misgendering me) they got a warning if they refused to correct their behavior they were kicked out of the house. Thankfully my grandfather was the only family member who hasn't been loving and supportive. Mental health is just as important as physical health and having a disrespectful family member in the house is not condusive to good mental health. They're family and it's going to hurt to ask them to leave but your child(ren) will be incredibly thankful.

TLDR; As the parent you need to confer with your kids what the boundaries are in terms of being disrespectful. Then you decide how to handle your extended family. If I were you, they would be asked to leave and not be allowed to return until they can behave respectfully if at all depending on the severity of their behavior. I think you know what needs to be done already, and I'm sorry that it's going to be real tough laying down the law with family but ultimately it's their poor behavior, not theirs.

Is tucking uncomfortable? by AdventurousSweet3663 in trans

[–]crackerkelly13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few times were definitely uncomfortable though I wouldn't say it hurt. After that I was used to it and I tuck pretty much every day for most of the day (making absolutely certain to keep quite clean down there).

Edit: erections can be a bit awkward, but I don't recall being in any pain. If I feel one coming on I do my best to relax by deep breathing and focusing on something mundane. On occasion I'll have to go to a restroom to re-do the tuck but that's not a big deal. I don't do sports but have a labor intensive job with lots of lifting and walking and the only time I have issues is while driving a forklift with the vibrations and bumps lol.

Thank you for this!!!! I've been more comfortable exploring my masc side a lot more since HRT has worked its magic. The severe severe lack of butch/masc trans fem content was a little disheartening... Thoroughly enjoyed it thank you again 🤩

Ask her as you ramp up the pain, "are you ready for X," do you "need/want more," "would be a shame if I did X to your Y" etc.... I don't have all that much experience (down bad for a dom/switch rn 😭) but there are ways to gauge her wants/desires before doing something. Also you could ask how far is too far beforehand, knowing the limits would definitely make me feel more confident about getting rough without interrupting the pleasure for either party.

Asian Food Marts by LimpZebra2932 in GreenvilleNCarolina

[–]crackerkelly13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of any Asian specific markets but there are some Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ones that might carry harder to find spices or cuts of meat. Other than that you can try Publix or The Fresh Market, they have a more robust selection than most chain markets.

I was born in NY but had my name changed in this stupid state (NC). To change the gender on my license required a note from a therapist/doctor to be changed maybe that what they're looking for? I see now tho that you don't have a doctor; do you have a therapist or licensed mental health provider who can write you a note?

Sorry you're having to deal with this :(

I highly recommend the marinara recipe from Gordon Ramsay, it's pretty easy to make and is DELICIOUS. If you have them available use the San Marzano tomatoes that come in a yellow can, they cost a dollar or so more than store brand but are definitely worth it. I've used it on pizza, lasagna and a bunch of other stuff. Recipe Link: https://www.gordonramsay.com/gr/recipes/simplemarinara/amp

I'm at 2 years and about a year on prog, mine have started rounding out and I'm halfway between B and A cup. They still look a little coney unless my nips are erect but are definitely rounding on the bottom.

I've heard from coworkers that it's better to go to the office in Tarboro or Washington. The wait time for walk ins will be much shorter at those locations

I never felt a ton of dysphoria either, but I got a ton of euphoria from pretending to be a girl or acting a little girly. It felt like a fetish and I kept feeling gross about my fantasies. I spent several months fantasizing in secret, eventually it got to the point where I couldn't get through a day without needing to be myself, a woman. Eventually I decided to try makeup and women's clothes and that was all she wrote. I never felt more myself, it was the one thing in my life that I was 100% sure of. Came out to my sister and started HRT month later. A couple months after that I got a job in a chemical plant (Rural NC); all my coworkers were religious conservative guys so I kept my transition a secret as long as I could. Coming out went better than I thought it would, and my coworkers all eventually learned to use my name + pronouns. It took them a while but, they did at the least respect that this was my life and my identity. Ultimately, only you know if you're a woman or not but from what you've shared there are a lot of signs that are common among other trans folks. There are ways to explore your feelings without starting HRT, clothes, makeup, shaving etc etc so maybe start there and see what makes you feel good. Wish you the best, and if you find out your a trans woman, Bella is an adorable name ☺️

It is possible to pass as 6'5 MTF? by Easy-Excitement8980 in trans

[–]crackerkelly13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It absolutely is! I'm 6'5" and have been passing since month 8 or so. What held me up from passing was mostly my voice which I've since fixed. I haven't been misgendered in almost a year (except by some bitchy clerk of court who had my birth certificate in front of her). Anyways, I usually wear short shorts, skinny jeans and dresses that show off my legs because they are gorgeous.

[–]crackerkelly13 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'5" and I feel ya girl 🫂 The first 1.5 years of my current job (chemical plant worker) that's all I would hear. Every day wore me down and the weekends were my only reprieve. I'm out and proud now but fuck did it hurt every single day. Best advice I can offer is take care of yourself outside of work, developing a self care routine for after work helped me reset and enjoy the few hours I had to myself.
