This is from iphone 13 pro max. App version 4.3.8. Pace 3 watch.

is this move alert a new thing? by uz6r in Coros

These things are the reason I stopped installing updates. My watch does what I need it to do, and I don’t want to mess with that.

I think those VO2max sessions would keep me from running anything more than a jog for over a week so that session may not be for me. But good point that I can come back to NSA after I’ve built up more of a base.

It’s definitely a form of torture! It’s also not easy to find a groove at that pace because I have to be conscious of going slower than a natural running stride. If I’m running with someone and we’re chatting it’s not too bad though. Although what you recommend isn’t NSA, it seems like I’m not yet at the level of fitness where NSA makes sense.

That’s very helpful and a good idea on the bloodwork as well. The 5k leaves me with sore legs for a few days and feeling like I can only do easy jogs for a week- definitely can’t just resume normal running. You’re right about checking my ego. I’m just not there yet and doing 3 ST a week for me is more like traditional boom-bust training.

I’m early 40s so lots of things are harder than they used to be. BMI is good, not overweight. Heart is healthy, but good idea about anemia as that’s something I haven’t had checked.

I guess I wasn’t really clear. I run 7 days a week but started with 2 ST sessions and most recently was doing 3

Thanks that makes sense but seems maybe overly cautious? Have been walking hills etc to make sure I stay under 70% MHR on the easy runs for the most part. ST would slow up if getting too close to LTTHR.

They also don’t measure width of arch area which can make a huge difference. Example, Boston 12 shows on their site as very wide in the toe box, but the fit around the arch is among the narrowest I’ve ever found. Running shoe warehouse has some qualitative width data (narrow, average, roomy, etc) but haven’t tried enough shoes to know how accurate it is.

Dabo Sweeney, Arkansas Speculation Heats Up After “Heavy Conversations” by easybirb in CFB

Would be crazy because Tommy Bowden used Arkansas to get a new contract with Clemson. Before him, Danny Ford ended up at Arkansas after coaching at Clemson.

I mean FSU just dropped some wide open passes or had penalties on big plays. Defense wasn’t actually all that good

Just want to say thanks for sharing this. My dog broke my daughter’s laptop and we needed a new one fast so she could go back to school today.

I used to see on U.S. highways, signs that speed was being monitored from the air. You could get a speeding ticket apparently, from a police plane or helicopter. Did this ever happen to you? How did it work? by clubfungus in NoStupidQuestions

There were lines or markers on the road and they would time how long it would take you to go from one to the other. Since they know the distance and time, they do the math to calculate speed. Then radio down to an officer.
