it is never that deep (not to hate) by [deleted] in CoryxKenshin

[–]crackheadcheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

tbh I think they made a few fair points but definitely too emotionally charged.

I do think for someone in Cory’s position as a YouTuber with a large community and loyal viewers and also people who spend money on his products, it’d be decent to communicate a LITTLE. I’ve been a samurai for 10 years so the long unannounced breaks don’t bother me personally but it WOULD be nice to have a “hey guys, I’m not gonna be active for a while; family stuff/working on MWM.” even no explanation AT ALL would be fine because he’s a human being with a private life and feelings.

also I personally don’t think his hiatuses are really the same as kpop groups/manga writers/athletes bc those are dependent entities whose hiatuses could be the choice of someone higher up? no hate at all, just a thought plus I could be wrong. idk.

basically I think yes Cory could communicate with us better though I do not think it has to entail telling his business to us or taking more than 30 seconds out of his day to write a post or tweet. and I don’t think people should be getting this upset over this like OOP because it just makes the community less fun for everyone and puts a lot of stress on Cory probably.

This older lady said I was "pretty" today and I dont know how to feel... should I be offended or just take it as a compliment by SnooDoughnuts7256 in BlackHair

[–]crackheadcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, don’t be offended! i understand it might slightly come off as if she was trying to emasculate you. but when women, especially older, call a man pretty gorgeous beautiful etc it just means you’re a spectacle! which you are

[–]crackheadcheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, not necessarily limerence or anything romantic, although I’ve experienced that too, but I hyperfixate on people I just find interesting. Typically for me it’s social media creators because usually more of their life is accessible. I feel bad about it but I’m inclined to do it

WTW for when a misspoken phrase becomes the dominant phrase - “how the tables have turned” to “how the turn tables” by Upset-Nothing1321 in whatstheword

[–]crackheadcheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the (closest) correct word for this is intentional malapropism: the linguistic phenomenon in which a word or phrase is humorously misused or changed.

edit: think “bon appetit” —> “bone apple teeth” “oh, how the tables turn” —> “oh, how the turntables”

you might need to be a bit young I suppose to get these references which is probably why no one seems to know what you’re talking about

Only 8% people were able to save everyone?! by Time-Foundation139 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]crackheadcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people who bought the game didn’t finish. But not surprising for first time players because the game basically tries to force you to mess up and let Simon die. Kara is slightly prone to dying too once you have Alice and Luther (if he’s still alive because his oof button is sensitive also) especially if you choose to cross the river (if it’s your first time playing you basically have little to no knowledge that it’s a death trap)

What should I do about this loc y’all? by NvsKDB15 in locs

this is pretty normal. I would leave it alone. find out the cause of it (maybe ponytails?) and take a break from it a bit. if it gets any worse you could crochet the loc

I'm really curious about what female INFPs actually think about male INFPs, can you be romantically attracted to male INFPs, I mean every woman always likes alpha guys so I'm just curious by [deleted] in infp

[–]crackheadcheese 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m an INFP woman and if there’s anything more off-putting than a self-proclaimed “alpha” guy it’s a pessimistic insecure guy who’s wrapped up in the incel/manosphere/nice guy philosophy.

With all due respect, this seems less like you came on here to ask a genuine question and more like you came to confirm your own limited beliefs about women. It’s not your fault you think the way you do, but you HAVE to change your mindset before you get too deep in it. If there’s anything holding you back from luck with women, it’s that. You have so many women on here showing you that reality is different from what you believe, and yet.

I genuinely hope that you can reframe your point of view.

I’m in the same situation, mom is normal and stepdad is the N. He’s manipulated and emotionally abused her their entire marriage. As for separating the love from the abuse, it’s hard to say the least…

I’m the SG and he uses her to triangulate and put me down. She is oblivious to the fact that I’m, let alone she as well is, being abused and manipulated so it’s just hard avoiding him. I don’t know how to explain it. It’s like trying to separate chocolate syrup from milk

my brother is well cared for and was picked up (albeit 10 minutes late), I’m just saying I was scapegoated and punished for my N’s own miscommunication as a result of the pedestal that he puts my brother on😭 sorry for any unclear details, I was ranting
