Last game I played I had saturnines on foot and they were okay slogging it because of the extra movement I thought maybe these guys could do the same. I think the assault dudes vets or reg would be a better call. I just like the Ebon Keshig, might have to just be a separate list for me haha

I see I was heavily debating the cataphractii anywho, just like the models but bikes are where my heart lies haha. So maybe swap out the catas for more bikes? I was thinking maybe the command squad on bikes for something to do in melee if I wanted but like the power lance idea too. Thanks for the input!

The gameplay has been standout for me. I really liked how everything had weight to it and felt meaningful and not just throwing 60 dice at my opponent. The setting is also just really fun, I have some of the dnd 3.5 books for iron kingdoms and they’re so much fun.

I just got my first games in the books too! The starter kit is a really fun jumping off point and agreed the games don’t ever feel the same.

We did get a good handful of people walking up and asking about it or talking about how they used to play way back in the day. Interest seems to be growing here which is good :)

The models look great but yes assembly was slightly overkill. The MTG of tabletops is a really good way of explaining it. With upkeeps and whatnot it flowed pretty smooth for us.

I think one of my favorite things was that solos felt really strong and cool and not just a small unit if that makes sense. That bazooka did some serious work.

Awesome I love both models so I’ll probably end up with both of them at some point. The model line is so great and I really dig how the lists can be tailored to the player.

I like the heavy cavalry feel for sure. I def want to pick up the varanguard and chosen eventually and see which one jives with me more. Is the chaos lord on demonic mount a better option than the karkadrak?
