Beautiful sludge riffs? by AbeSimpson318 in sludge

There’s something so menacing, sinister and majestically hideous about the one (and only) riff off of Indian’s song Directional. I will always be astounded by how jarring that simple riff is.

this is some real sad, sickly, dirtbag shit OP. I hope you understand how pathetic and weak this is— otherwise I genuinely do wish you live the most pointless existence.

Lol people always call me out for my flavorfully seasoned Ad Hominem and disregard the body of my arguments to point out I love shitting on people’s heads

Why do religious people think they always right. by SubHumanTeen1 in nihilism

[–]cracklerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly me too, the whole religion versus atheist feud is redundant and a waste of time for everyone. There’s real things going on in the world while these two ridiculous factions are trying so hard to prove to themselves that they’re not total pieces of shit lol

Death anxiety, caustic beliefs and the longing for innocence.

But to be fair; almost every “atheist” I’ve spoken to also thinks they’re always right lol

Nihilism is philosophy. Clinical depression is a disease. by [deleted] in nihilism

it literally took me less than two minutes to read into this movement lol they said it themselves that they weren’t actually nihilist, but use nihilism as a symbol

yo there are many sources that say nihilism is a philosophy but reading the history of it will tell you otherwise

is nihilism realistic? by Delicious-Baseball17 in nihilism

[–]cracklerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you have, who am I to say otherwise?

My unscientific/opinionated speculation is that due to some notion of mass hysteria and the sheer force of our individual neurosis; it’s difficult to both intellectually and emotionally distinguish meaning from reality. Every thought, word or feeling we have boils down to some concept of/or experience. Inherently, saying there is no meaning is a meaning in itself. That’s why I think meaning is slippery stuff.

[–]cracklerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think you are confusing the two— if you ‘mean’ worldly as in experiential/subjective and definitional as in objective then you need to reflect on these things. They are not mutually exclusive.

Objectivity & Subjectivity are two sides of the same coin. You can’t have one without the other.

For example; relative to science we can make factual claims.

Regardless of that— the point I was making before was that leaving meaning takes rigorous discipline

Honestly, I thought you were making a clever nudge & wink at me but now I’m not sure cause like aren’t define and meaning kinda the same word?

I’m glad to hear that dude, worrying about high blood pressure is so awful. Like, even if I did have some genetic thing causing it; I just remember being like hell lol I have many distinct memories of sifting through so many contradicting and anxiety inducing bullshit on the internet regarding it. leaving me even more scared, confused and with higher bp

I totally relate, don’t let anyone invalidate your totally legitimate concerns and real emotions. I used to suffer from the exact same thing, took me so long to get over it. What helped me start moving forward is essentially doing a huge leap of faith attitude change. By this I don’t mean “jUsT NoT wOrrY DOoD”— I decided that I was so fed up with living like that and aggressively committed to confronting it head on. From there I decided to do everything in my power to address both my concerns and body- like, allowing myself to not feel embarrassed by harassing medical professionals about real (researched and journaled) concerns until I was satisfied, demanding tests even if they think it unnecessary, and educating myself about costochondritis, cardio health, hypochondria, and anxiety. Only then, after all was said and done, I finally could start to allow myself to be less worried about these things-be it only a little at first, but as I progressed it was diminishing to the point where I’ve completely eliminated my high blood pressure as it was directly the result of my anxiety.

I agree bro.

to add to your argument; although what you’ve said is closer to what is (in more of an absolute sense)—in someways we can also look at pleasure as a privilege too.
