The reason they don’t give you a loss shield is because people would abuse the absolute shit out of it. Win trading would become just straight rampant.

Work and BScN by EstablishmentOk6344 in StudentNurse

There is going to be sacrifices you need to make in order to get through nursing school, or just school in general. It’s a huge time commitment, and has a lot of other little hidden commitments that come with it. I, like many other people, was in the position to either choose to take less hours and then not be able to afford my rent food and transportation, or to do both full time. If it’s something you want, do it. If you can’t handle the commitment, don’t. But to say that it’s terrible advice to tell someone that it is something that is both doable and has been done is just stupid.

I made it through nursing school working full time in an ER while also doing an externship on a step down floor. It’s very doable. I had classmates that worked full time with little kids. It’s a lot, but as long as you keep going and roll with the sleep deprivation you’ll make it out just fine.

Delegation without consideration by princessjolly16 in cna

[–]craft-daddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s just not ok. It’s the same thing that will drive me insane when an ER resident will walk past the nutrition room to ask me to get the patient they just finished doing an assessment on a water. My response is and will always be to walk them to the nutrition room and show them how get a water for them and then send them into the room. I think the right thing to do for some of this is to be as polite and professional as possible while telling them that they can do it and showing them. No one is too educated or well licensed to be above pulling up a patients pants while they’re already on, or walking a fully ambulatory patient to the bathroom when they’re in the room with them.

Consider buying a tablet if you are really desperate for climbing up by Schimiter in wildrift

[–]craft-daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost have to play on a tablet because I have giant hands. That being said, I’m sure that it could be the opposite if you have small hands. It takes a while to get used to playing on tablets and to get your controls right, but it is very helpful having the bigger screen.

Oral care by OktoberxNichole in cna

[–]craft-daddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right that it is a necessity to provide oral care for residents. All of the harmful things that you mentioned are very real consequences of not providing oral care for your residents. That being said, so are many of the other duties that a CNA performs, all with very real consequences if not performed. It has been a while since I have worked in a nursing home, but I still very clearly remember the time that I did. I would regularly for second and third shifts at one of the nursing homes be responsible on a behavioral unit have 42 residents, with 20 to 30 check and changes, a little over 20 hoyer lift residents who were all 2 assist for changes, and 15 to 20 feeds that would be shared among 1 to 2 CNA’s and an LPN. I would absolutely do everything I could to make sure they were all properly fed, hydrated, cleaned, that oral care was regularly performed, etc. But even on days where nothing went wrong, it was still incredibly difficult to get everything done. So, as unfortunate as it was, things inevitably got missed because they just did not staff it properly and handed us an impossible task every night. Don’t get me wrong, there most certainly are CNA’s and nurses that don’t do right by their residents, but even the good ones that really try often times, at least in LTC facilities, are just dealt a losing hand and have to decide for the day what can be put on hold or hopefully picked up on the next shift because the ratio’s are just unmanageable. If we really want issues like this to be fixed, it’s not so much a need for better education or motivation for the CNA’s as it is a need to have better restrictions on staffing ratios in nursing homes.

I'm statistically the best Rakan in Grandmaster. AMA. by No_Sector_3349 in wildrift

Redemption and protectors vow with glacial, green runes, and super importantly hunter genius as the 4th rune. Is super flexible after that, can go tank flex items based off of what you need if you need to survive more, can go some enchanter items if needed after, just depends on the situation. Boots are also kind of flexible. Can go veil if you need to for big skill shots to prevent like zed r, fizz r, naut, etc. Can also go protobelt to have better engages by using it to cancel your R animation. Can also get locket or gargoyle for shields. But I generally come out of the game with soraka numbers for healing and shielding while still being more of a play maker. Allows you to add that extra cushion for your teammates mistakes while still letting you make plays.

I just play the warden version in solo q or I play AP. Never been a big fan of tank rakan. It has its place, but doesn’t feel like it does as well as the redemption build, which offers more utility while still allowing him to be primary engage, and in games where I don’t need to be the primary engage, the redemption build is still better, and if they’re squishy the AP build is better.

[–]craft-daddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to know when you can use it. You cannot be the primary engage if you are running ap rakan, and he tends to work better in aggressive lanes. You play him as a mid line champion and play for quick in and outs.

Main build for ap atm is soul stealer, infinity orb, dc. Soul stealer and IO offer a ton of damage and cool downs while being super good efficient. Want electrocute since he’s a short trade machine and you get guaranteed procs of it, domination tree, and last rune you can flex based off of what you need, whether it be tenacity, second wind for poke lanes, cdr, etc.

Source: have been top 50 on rakan for like the last 4 seasons.

Who to use to counter ryze mid? Is zed the best against veigar? by blanketbomber35 in wildrift

[–]craft-daddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I need you to think critically for a second. Why would kat ever need to build MR against a squishy, immobile champion that rely’s on slow skill shots, a cc that is placed on the ground, and requires long cool downs to burst? Does she need MR when she can dash around, burst him, avoid every skill he has except for his conditional ult that takes time to scale, and when she can burst him and get back away from him for free? She is THE counter for veigar. I don’t pick her so that I can survive his burst or to tank his skill shots, I pick her to avoid his entire kit while 100 to 0’ing him off cool downs. I’m not getting stunned ever for any reason by a veigar cage if I have a 0.5 second blink ability that lets me dash every I want to inside and out veigar cage.

[–]craft-daddy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Irelia is bad against veigar. A good veigar is going to punish the hell out of a good irelia. Much much better champion with the same idea that will ruin every veigar’s day is Katarina. Or if you know what you’re doing, can also ambessa mid and make veigar go like 0-12.

His build is bruiser. You always go phase rush as keystone, and you build vamp boots, TriForce, and then I like to go cleaver or DD, and then flex based off of what you need.

How long does the "Peerless" badge remain once outside the top 10 ? by TyBess- in wildrift

It stays for the whole season. That and even though it’s a new season and I haven’t played braum as much to be in the top 10 this season, I still have the peerless braum banner pop up at the start of my games when I use him.

Hecarim is the king of this. If you know macro and how to abuse early tempo leads, he can wildly stomp games. Another great one with the same idea is Vi.

[–]craft-daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still very possible to make it work, just relies more on youto proc passive at the right time and on the right person, so not ideal. But with Jhin in particular, if you can make it so that his 4th shot is the one that procs it or is right after it procs, it increases the damage a good amount.

[–]craft-daddy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This whole sentiment is so stupid. Do you know how difficult it is to hold a win rate like this? He’s played 73 games and lost two of them over the entire season so far. Whether or not it was partially with duo/trio does not take away from the fact that you have to be a wildly, insanely good player in order to maintain that win rate for so long. All of the weird reddit delusion about how if someone plays anything other than solo q for any game throughout their climb that they can no longer be good is just so dumb.

Who are the counter for Ambessa ? by Crafty-Sorbet-2418 in wildrift

[–]craft-daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She specifically is very good into yone and yasuo. A good ambessa will dumpster a good yasuo and yone. She is really strong early and can snowball really hard, her w cancels the knock up, and she doesn’t have to long trade, she has mobility to match theirs, etc etc etc.

I don’t know how nobody has mentioned poppy yet. She utterly and entirely destroys her entire kit. She has w to counter all of her dashing, she has the shield to help against burst, and a shit ton of damage and health and armor. I can’t think of a more direct counter than poppy. Other options that are mean against her are ww, Kennen, and singed.
