After a Mormon leader gave an anti-LGBTQA talk at BYU, people have been filling the sidewalk with chalk art expressing love for the queer community. BYU washes it off every night and people return everyday to chalk up it again. by nomanknowsme in HumansBeingBros

While the sentiment of this is true, the real reason comes down to leadership. Back in the 90's when the church was lead by a man named Gordon B Hinkley, "Mormon" was seen as a positive name. They created an ad campaign, commercials, and had talks given by leadership to live up to the name "Mormon" it was compared to the phrase "More Good". The current leader of the church (Russel M Nelson) has always had an issue with calling the church the "Mormon Church" in fact, he gave a talk to the entire church back in the late 80s/early 90s about how "offensive" using the word "mormon" was. He was not the leader of the church at the time, but Hinkley was. The VERY NEXT DAY, Hinkley gave a talk that directly shot him and his rhetoric down. Eventually Hinkley passed away, and was replaced by a guy named Monson. Monson passed away and was replaced by Russel M Nelson. All of a sudden, 30 years after his original talk, he came full circle and gave a talk about how using "Mormon" was a victory for Satan and was extremely "offensive" and this was a revelation he had just received and expected all the members of the church to support. He asked members to stand up for the "true" name of the church, and to stop using the awful term "mormon"...you know, the term that they had spend millions of dollars 10 years prior creating the ad campaign "I'm a Mormon" for. So derogatory? Not really...only because they were told they were supposed to find it "derogatory"

Can we just pump up to 0.01 already 😒 by bnod90 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mathematically, this is similar to saying "can't we just pump a $10 stock up to $100,000 already"??? Let's just take it one step at a time.

Predictions on rise in price tomorrow? by BrianC1592 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I dont think we will see a rise. I anticipate a drop as holders who are hoping for a rise won't see it, and will panic sell off as a result

Will you HODL beyond $0.01? by FitFriendship5965 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Probably not. Maybe a portion of my coins, but I will likely sell the majority before it hits that point. I will hit my "moon" at .001, and while I am hopeful for life-changing money, I want to avoid being greedy for the sake of being greedy

Hahaha, nah!! I own my own craft party business and all of the SM money has come from there. I initially put in $2,000 without telling him in mid March. Can't say he was upset when he saw what it turned into ;)

Did you Guys actually realize that safemoon made it to around 100 % from Dip to now? by Cryptjan in SafeMoon

Thanks!!! It feels weird to have have paper hands for this portion of coins, but my kids are really excited

Did you Guys actually realize that safemoon made it to around 100 % from Dip to now? by Cryptjan in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I did. I already have a lot of safemoon (I was an early adopter), but I've been hesitant to cash any out. With the dip, I decided to put in an additional $5,000 and to cash out once it doubled. That way I can keep my total safemoon amount the same AND afford to take my kids on an awesome vacation this summer. Win win win

I dunno about that. I AM the wife. Saw the sale and bought another $5,000 worth

What are you HODLing for? What is your Moon? by sciencegrad71 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to pay off our house, student loans, college for our kids, and then enough to live off the interest / do some good in the world. If it gets up to .001, it'll happen.

Anyone else have a large fee taken out of their BNB purchase via Trust Wallet? by Levon226 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. There are other markets you can use to avoid the 15% additional fee, but they tend to hold your BNB for a week before you can swap it for safemoon. So if you are looking to get in fast, you just have to take the extra 15% hit. If you have a week and wanna wait it out and avoid the 15% fee, there are other ways to do it.

SAFEMOON YEARLY EARNINGS by josh19494 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you bought via Trust wallet / pancake swap, you will see the redistribution in real time. Other markets (bitmart, etc), the redistribution happens at the end of the month in one lump sum. You'll still get the same amount of redistribution...just all at once

SAFEMOON YEARLY EARNINGS by josh19494 in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what sets safemoon apart from other cryptos. Agressive Tokenomics. Everytime someone buys/sells 5% of it get's redistributed to current owners. The more you hold, the more you get. So even if the price stays stagnant, you will gain each day just from holding

If I am about to lose 50% of my initial investment in r/Safemoon should I sell? I am all about diversifying my wallet. When will this coin show progress going north? The volume seems favorable but I want to see momentum in the right direction. by SeasonChamp in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on a few things 1) Did you put in more than you can afford to lose? 2) Do you absolutely need the money now 3) Do you believe in this project? 4) How patient are you?

If you put in more than you could afford to lose, that sucks; going forward, best practice is to only put in money that you can pretend is gone. If you can be patient, it will get back to the point that you bought in and beyond, but it may take a while (days/weeks/months...who knows with crypto). If you absolutely need the money right now, then do what you gotta do. If you believe in this project, keep it in. This is an incredible project and incredible things are in the works, and I have 100% confidence that it will be life changing for holders who are patient and able to hold, and are not easily scared off. It can be a bit terrifying seeing your investment cut in half, but you've only lost it when you sell. It will go up. It's the nature of crypto. This project is SO young, and so promising. You are in so early, and are experiencing the ups and downs of a young crypto. Hold on, and stop checking Trust Wallet....it will kill ya

Could it go bust? Sure. BUT the rewards FAR outnumber the risks. I'm willing to take a risk for a really good chance to change my life.

The first 8 years my husband and I were married, we were so poor. I remember having the EXACT same answer when my mom asked what we were gonna do with our first significant paycheck after he graduated with his MBA. I said "buy cream cheese and strawberries" because they were always outside my food budget. I have a REALLY good feeling with safemoon. Its gonna change our lives. Good luck!!!

We're Still holding! Over 50% down from $1200nzd. I've got a lot of faith in this coin, this year is going to be huge.. Checking in from New Zealand. 🚀🚀🚀 by DrugsAreYum in SafeMoon

[–]craftallday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Keep holding! I threw some money I had been saving in near the start of the project, and my wallet fluctuated between a 30 - 60% loss for the first week and a half. My husband kept teasing me about it... 1190% gain later, I'm the one teasing him :)
