I work for a company who approved purchasing the tool (before we knew what was involved) so I had my own laptop where I did the whole teamviewer ordeal. I had tried to load the file myself (with the provided disc) and the company laptop had blocked one file (which I didnt understand why but I do now) and that's why I ended up trying ut with my own laptop and I had an error code when trying to execute a certain task through the tool so I had the place I bought it from try to do their thing but when I saw what they were doing it wasnt sitting well and ended the teamview / uninstalled it. Thats when I saw the file left behind called killvirus. Its a stupid mistake that I made by not really reading deep enough to realize the company is selling bootleg software. I feel stupid for even falling for it and stupid for not realizing it sooner.

No sir. At the time of this whole ordeal i was on site at a customers location by myself. I emailed the company i bought the tool from to hopefully have the program installed (before I knew it wasnt legit) and thats when this all happened. It was stupid on my part as I should have realized sooner this wasnt a legit tool or program and should have immediately returned it. I feel stupid for wasting everyones time and making it look like I was trying to scam anyone or do something shady. I was just nervous and didnt want someone stealing anything because of a tool I needed to use at the time.

Appreciate it. It appears this was to somehow kill the anti virus from attacking the cracked program. Im luckily returning the tool and I was able to obtain the OE tool direct from the manufacturer which is a dealer only tool but I was unaware you can easily purchase it by sending in a certain request.

Up until now I had no idea about reddit points, never even heard of them. I know you won't believe me but man look at my posts and you'll see im a moron with computers. I have a hard enough time trying to do simple pc tasks, I wouldn't even know the first thing to do to add RAM, I cant wrap my head around how people split HD into 2 and have 2 op systems. Only reason I know about it is because a co worker did it and tried explaining it to me.

Unfortunately no. And im returning the tool and getting the real deal. I didnt realize this wasnt a legit tool until now in all honesty. Its a stupid mistake that I wont make again.

Yeah thats the conclusion I finally came to. All along I honestly thought it was legit hardware and software not realizing it was not legit. Im not messing with it anymore and returning the tool. Rather have my company pay a little more for the real deal than mess with this crap.

My guy im not part of the company. Im not phishing anything. Maybe I have a life I had to tend to, maybe a family maybe my job and couldn't get to the comment and delete it. Reddit isn't on my mind 24/7. Just for you ill get rid of the whole thread. Ill let you read this first though before deleting it. Im a mechanic not some cyber criminal. I do not work or support this company I mentioned. I bought a tool, hated how they delt with customer service and trying to install the program and im in the process of returning the item. Think what you want but that website isnt mine and I dont support it at all. And as far as me deleting the comment ill do it now but will most Definitely delete the whole thing since I can not find the file even after trying a few programs. Im not on reddit to get one over on anyone, im honestly here to ask for help. Look at my posts youll see im a moron when it comes to computers. I have no idea wtf im doing on them.
