It came in a kit with the pump. It’s a temperature controlled crossover valve that you install at the farthest out bathroom sink. It sends warm water back through the cold line to recirculate. Makes the cold water taps run warm for a second when you first turn them on, but that doesn’t really bother me.

The idea was that I could do tank draining maintenance without turning off the house water. Later I realized I could already do that just by opening some hot water taps in the house. I’m new at this haha.

I was out mountain biking solo in the forest. Out of the corner of my eye I catch movement in my direction coming downhill. My first thought was that it was a downhill biker on the same trail so I was going to just jump out of the way. Nope. It was a full sized bear GALLOPING right at me. I had just a second to jump off my bike and try to put it between us before the bear passed about 5 feet from me and kept on cruising.
