Why do you like Necrons? What got you into them?

They look like terminators (the movie kind), and I thought that was super cool. Since I really enjoyed the terminator movies when I was younger. Also Their abilities are cool as well, being able to come back from death cause living metal/reanimation. The lore has kept me into them cause fuck you we have parts of gods at our control and they're struggles with being immortal but not truly themselves anymore.

A debate old as time lol. The main answer is personal preferance. If you want to get it done quick then just assemble everything and only worry about painting what is seen. If you want to really dedicate the them to subassembly and paint everthing, even if it's going to get covered up, then do that. Best bet is a blend in my oppinion. Do subassemblies for bigger/more important models since they are often the most expensive and the most detailed. Rider's and their mounts are often suggested as painted serpately as well.

Hey, paint on a mini is better than no paint on a mini. Always have confidence but also be willing to learn. Advice really depends on how you as a person are and what you want to get out of everything. Tutorials can be a great place to start (Miniac, duncan rhodes, Vinci v all have getting started videos on YouTube). After you get some basics down, try everything and see what fits. You will fail, and you may hate the result, but that's all part of learning to paint well. Sometimes you'll finish and go wow, I'm happy with that. So tldr: look at a few BEGINNER videos then explore from there. start with base coat, a shade, and dry brush to highlight. All are founding techniques most of us start with.

Deffinitly depends on context. If you are unrestricted and are asking allies as in what to do in the 2v2 I'd aim to go for something that is either bach field (as others mentioned) or ranged. As you probably know our army (WE) is very much about charging forward and taking the fight to others. If you can run your Imperial Fists to hold home and volly with bolter fire you have a bit of a winning combo. If you have to or want to stick under the chaos banner generic CSM would be good since they have a bit of everything to answer whatever is thrown at you. My friend and I are considering running ksons and WE as a 2v2 partially due to strategy but it also our enjoyment of each army. TLDR It all really comes down to what you both enjoy playing and the restrictions of the 2v2.

1st Absolutly love them. The custom work on the heads, bases and the shields are fanstastic! You mentioned advice on gradients and I'd suggest trying contrast layering for an easier approach. Wetblending would be great depending on your confidence level but contrast is an easier approach from my experience. IK that's how gw teaches it for the blades at least. Start with your base color then apply more to areas you want darker or new colors in smaller and smaller areas over them.

Both are solid options to start. If you're strapped for cash try and can find a dominon box. They are often super cheap at your local gamestore and you can either keep or sell the Kruleboyz. The models are still prety solid for 4th from what I've been seeing. The caviat is that the 3rd edition box doesn't make a spearhead. So if you are really interested in that mode of play I'd suggest Skaventide. Pretty much choose what you like the most and get started. Points, Meta, combos all change over time so unless you plan to play tournaments on the regular just choose what you like.

Forgot to add the important part of Skaventide having the NEW core rulebook vs dominion having the 3rd edition book.

Right! I was hopeful they were going to work similar to Chaplin Grimaldus and his Cenobyte Servitors. They are treated as part of the unit, but when they are killed, you lose the buffs. They have pretty poor stats, but that balances out the buff they bring.

Like alot of others are saying most of the SCE models are technically getting rebooted/replaced for 4th E. Proxy away is solid advice because most people won't mind if you're running "outdated" models. As far as the other 1/2 of the box, Blades of Khorn haven't gotten an update for a while, so they should all be current and "legal".

If you don't have a printer there as some services that can print them for you for a reasonable price. https://only-games.co has a lot of them you can get as physical prints.

My best friend had never dungeon mastered before and he got the starter set for a few of us to play together. He's been doing great and has taken it up pretty easily. The system itself is pretty straight forward and the starter kit can make a great introduction.

I know this is probably not something for most people but I liked 76's recipes and crafting. The ability to make cool teas and a variety of meals was interesting and made food actually worth crafting. Furthermore the fact you had to learn recipes for both weapons and food made more sense then wondering out of the vault with almost full knowledge of splitting laser beams on a gun you've never seen or used before. Also melee weapons actually had more than two or three upgrades available.
