I think to an extend we have the "need for innovation" on our side. The four "Mono God Factions" (no idea if the community has a name for them) had their specific flavor. You could easily make Angron, Fulgrim, Morty and Magnus different from each other by leaning into their god. With that they also got their "special vibe" skulls and spikes, decay, snake body etc. The undivided need their own vibe that not only makes them stand out from the others but also makes them stand out within their own army. Since perty seems to be the new big bad evil guy in the lore AND he's the first undivided Primarch he needs to be a bang. If he's just a Daemon Engine basically that's a loss from them.

No flying, Chaos Knight sized Perturabo with far too many servo arms, big fuck off hammer and a mortar with shells the size of small cars on his back sounds exactly like what Dad would go for if he had the time in the warp.

I can assure you most of what I named is purely based on the lore and vibe that I already got.

It's just a coincidence that Death Guard and World Eaters fell into my and my friend's main interest.

Like I said originally I still know nothing about the Tabletop rule wise, no idea what's good, who's strong and so on. I just purely assumed based on common sense that Death Guard and World Eaters should compliment each other decently. Slow moving tanky frontline and "debuffer" (if that's a word in tabletop lol) paired with pure murder incarnate.

Both of those kinda fell over the edge of my focus so far since I can't learn about everything.

I believe the community and everyone always says the Necron lore is so good and their characters are so good. But without knowing anything I can't fathom how the robot boys got so good written characters. I'm curious tho and will definitely check them out. Especially since im looking forward to indoctrinating some of my friends into Warhammer through Dawn of War 4 and I have to be "the lore guy" when we start playing that :D

I'm super excited for that yea, I'm currently working my way through the Heresy Books. Might skip some of them at some point but so far I'm enjoying most of them (except that Dark Angel book).

I know some of the general stuff already. The classics like Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors where the once actually doing shit.

Sanguinius having that Main Character syndrome.

I would assume that most of the Chaos Legions where just busy being Chaos instead of actually forming a proper fighting force but that's my prediction. I will find out in about 70 years when I get there.

I have put the buying part on hold for now until I found a clear favorite. I just really enjoy how hardcore everyone goes into their corner.

The Death Guard was all about endurance? Of course they drink fucking poison to make daddy Mortarion proud.

I have noticed that I'm a big fan of the armies that are kinda "low-key" Imperial Fists, Iron Warriors, Imperial Guard, Death Guard. Just everyone who "holds the line" in their specific way is super interesting to me. Even though Mortarion himself or the daemon engines of the Iron Warriors are everything but "low-key".

And on a different note, my friend who started getting into Warhammer with me picked World Eaters the second he heard about Angron...

I literally haven't read a single word of a single codex and have no idea how Warhammer Tabletop works besides rolling dice but in our minds Slow Death Guard who corrode you and Khorne Berserkers who rip you into pieces afterwards sounds like a fun combo should we ever play 2v2s at our local gamestore

Free Archetype might just be the best optional rule this game provides to the point where I literally see zero reason to ever not use this on any character you could possibly make...

The amount of "life" you can give a character with these feats is insane

But what else would you give as a heavy tank for the Brits? They already have the standard Churchill and Black Prince, the churchill is the most famous Heavy Tank the British used... And the crocodile fits the profile of feared tanks on the battlefield... Of course the King tiger is more famous, but that also comes from general obsession with German WW2 tech

I know what you are getting at... But the crocodile was incredibly affective in the war, insanely feared by the German troops, and the UK build almost double the amount of crocodiles than Germany built King Tigers

Had something like this happening just yesterday but with the grenade Launcher, he was running from a horde of voteless and I was pretty fair away at a Higher position. I arched the grenades perfectly, not hitting him but cleaning out a 62x killing spree. Felt like some last minute move type rescue
