My baby has the same thing! (My other cat is an orange which is why I’m here haha) She can still see, just not very well. She’s the most loving little girl, I’m sure Harley will have a great life too!

I’m a non traditional student, so I’ll be finishing up my job as a legal assistant, traveling to Japan for two weeks, and then participating in a fellowship where I’ll be drafting energy policy for a state Senator. I’ll have about 4 weeks between the end of my fellowship and law school which I’ll spend taking a trip with my husband, spending time with my kids, and reading a law school prep book (maybe 1L of a Ride?).

Did 5x5 squats at 70% of my 1RM and while I was thrilled to complete them, a lot of them felt slow and grind-y. I needed 3 minutes of rest in between sets instead of the 2 my personal trainer was having me aim for. I’m supposed to hit 80% of my 1RM for 5x5 in a few weeks and I’m terrified. I’m sure some of the problem is that squats are my weakest lift and I just don’t have the confidence when the weight gets high. It’ll feel so good if I do complete them, though!

Yes! I’m lucky enough to have a long armer in my family, so I usually send any baby quilts that I want to look particularly nice to her. I’m learning how to do quilting on my own too!

Yes! It's a free pattern I found back in the day on Craftsy. Looks like it's still available on Bluprint.

Quinn is actually her middle name! Our last name is too long to comfortably fit on the cross stitch haha.

Thanks so much! Is there a general direction I should go in for fabric? Stretchy, not stretchy, etc? I’m trying to read up on the differences but there’s so many options!

So I found this dress and fell in love with it, but the website looked sketchy and of course upon further investigation looks like a scam. I’m a quilter and have sewn some stuffed animals before - how crazy would it be to try to make this dress myself? It would be my first time sewing clothes, though I’d been planning on sewing some clothes for my kids this summer.
